Goldbw122: What exactly is a Nigerian youth going to do that will be so special when given power. How many young Nigerians do you come across today who are honest, law-abiding, principled, morally upright, incorruptible and possessing the right values? 9 Likes 3 Shares |

Obj is a greedy old man who believes no other Yoruba man is capable of attaining the highest office than himself. It was same greed that pushed him in working against the ambitions of Awolowo, MKO and in recent past, almost crippled the economy of Lagos save for the ingenuity of Tinubu who had to wave his magic wand to rescue Lagos. He believed he was better than everyone else until Buhari equalled his record as the only man who rose to become the head of state and twice as elected President. It was for his narcissistic tendencies that Prof. Soyinka had a verbal running battle with him. Did he ever think about the youths while he was President and ever scheming behind the scenes to perpetrate his third term agenda. I have come to agree with Ashiwaju Tinubu who has come out to say to whoever cares to listen that no intimidation can stop his ambition. 21 Likes 1 Share |

PressMyButton: God bless you for this post. You know OBJ well. A man who has done his best to undermine his own ethnic group and the SW for his personal ego and vainglorious pursuits. Nothing OBJ did not do to frustrate Tinubu and Lagos because Asiwaju was an opposition leader who was Governor of an opposition State the empty PDP coveted greedily. Anybody who can read, perhaps was old enough after year 2004, and is fair will admit Tinubu ushered in a new age of refined 'gentlemen' Governors in the SW like Fashola, Fayemi, Amosun, Ajimobi etal. Whereas OBJ had previously empowered gangster politics and mastered rigging only gangsters in as Governor to the extent the SW was christened "the wild West". The less said about OBJ the better to be honest. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Ode agbaya, you led Nigerian from a very young age and you failed miserably across the board so of what relevance is young age? Young Jona with his zoo degree also failed and PMB still performed way better than both of you combined.. Dumb buffoon.. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Leadership sometimes isn't about age. An older man is more likely to be wiser, experienced, patient, emotionally mature and less spontaneous in reaction while a younger leader brings fresh ideas, possibly innovative thinking, modern trends, boundless energy, and quick wit. You'll agree with me that employing a first class student as a manager of a multinational company could spell doom. Though, the young manager may bring fresh innovative ideas, the gap of experience, man management and emotional maturity could cause knee-Jack decisions which can impend whatever growth recorded. Nigeria as a multi-ethnic entity is far more complex to manage because any action taken can cause serious implication in any part of the country. A younger president who is less emotionally mature will more likely have killed a state offender which could lead to serious revolt and thus another round of bloodletting and bad blood between ethnic groups. If I am to cast my vote for a youth, he/she must've displayed high level of tolerance, emotional maturity, must be looking to build a good legacy, and be ready to listen to wise counsel from elders with experience and most likely wisdom. 2 Likes |
