Putin orders Russian Forces into Eastern Ukraine, recognise 2 Republics by HonNL: 11:28pm On Feb 21, 2022
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday ordered Russian forces to enter and conduct “peacekeeping functions” in two breakaway regions of eastern Ukraine that he recognized as independent earlier in the day.

In decrees published late Monday night, Putin ordered the “implementation of peacekeeping functions” by the Russian armed forces in the self-declared Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

SOURCE

DECREES signed by Putin:

PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

On the recognition of the Luhansk & Donetsk Peoples Republics

1. Taking into account the will of the people of the Luhansk & Donetsk Peoples Republics, Ukraine's refusal to peacefully resolve the conflict in accordance with the Minsk agreements, recognize the Luhansk & Donetsk Peoples Republics as sovereign and independent states.

2. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation should hold negotiations with the Luhansk & Donetsk Parties on the establishment of diplomatic relations and formalise the agreement reached with the relevant documents.

3. Instruct the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to hold negotiations with the Luhansk & Donetsk Parties on the preparation of a draft treaty on friendship, co-operation and mutual assistance, with the participation of interested Federal Executive authorities, to submit, in the prescribed manner, a proposal for signing.

4. In connection with the Republics, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, prior to the conclusion of the agreement referred to in paragraph 3 of this Decree, with the appeal of the heads of the Luhansk & Donetsk People's Decree, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Luhansk & Donetsk Peoples Republics, ensure peacekeeping functions.

5. This Decree comes into force from the date of its signing.

This is a card well played. Putin has given Ukraine and the west an uppercut without firing a single bullet. This man is a Don! We hall you

Edit , I just realized now that USA recognized the independence of Kosovo after they declared their independence from Serbia .
Now they're placing sanctions on Russia for recognizing Donbas and donetsk as independence states? When will the USA stop this shameless double standards for Christ's sake? Nawa oo

The invasion of Ukraine has started, Putin's minions said Russia never wanted war, they said it was USA that was pushing for war, who is sending troops in Ukraine now?

Okay, the invasion has happened now, where are all those people that said the media and US intel were just creating unnecessary tension?

Even without the media or any intel, common sense should tell you that Russia won't just line up over 100k troops on Ukraine's border if it didn't plan on invading it.

I saw a video of over 50 Russian tanks approaching the Ukrainian border earlier.

Ogbeni sharap. Russians in those territories are being killed on a daily basis by fascist Ukrainian troops. You expect russia to do nothing? Russia recognizing their independence, since THAT IS WHAT THEY WANT, is the only hope now for those people since the Ukrainian govt had repeatedly refused to comply with the minsk deal. Vowing to annihilate them and calling them terrorists for not recognizing the 2014 coup that the west orchastrated in ukraine to install that pro west puppet zelensky.
There will be no war if Ukraine doesn't attack those Sovereign state now. If they do, it's obvious their now new official ally, Russia would deal with them decisively grin

Putin warned the West, but the West didn't listen
Like it or not, the Russian president is doubling down on his crusade against American hegemony

Fifteen years ago in Munich, Vladimir Putin shook the West with a sharp attack on its efforts to bend the world to its will. The West chose not to listen. As the clouds of war gather over Europe, one has to ask if that was wise.

In his speech, Putin made a number of specific complaints. First, he objected to the idea of a unipolar order in which one country, the US, has dominated all others. This model, he said, “is not only unacceptable but also impossible in today’s world.” On the one hand, power was shifting; on the other hand, the unipolar model provided “no moral foundations for modern civilization.”

Second, Putin complained of “an almost uncontained hyper use of force – military force – in international relations.” While he didn’t mention any specific examples, it is likely that the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq was high on his list.

And third, the Russian president spoke of “a greater and greater disdain for the basic principles of international law. … One state and, of course, first and foremost the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way.” The result was that “no one feels safe … because no one can feel that international law is like a stone wall that will protect them.”.....

They were right? Lmao if this is the invasion they were warning us about, why were they ordering their citizens to leave Ukraine? Why were they closing their embassy and fleeing Ukraine? Obviously they believed Russian hypersonic missiles landing in ukraine would signal the start of an invasion but putin has played their asses again. No shot has been fired! grin
Meanwhile, recognizing the sovereignty of these two nations isn't an invasion. Ukraine would be guilty of that should they launch an attack on these two countries now.

I had this video on my phone before when putin was giving this speech in Munich (2007) and these US diplomats were laughing at him.
These fools have been underestimating russia and putin for a long time now and they still haven't learnt their lesson.

In 2014, a referendum was conducted in those regions & 90-98% chose Russia yet US/NATO invaded Ukraine in violation of international laws & forced them to remain in Ukraine against their wish which violates human rights.

The people have chosen Russia again.

Rest!
