• Financial Market and Economic Research Analyst

Reports to:
• The Executive Secretary

Job Description
• Preparation of regular reports about the financial market
• Preparation of report for market meetings
• Preparation of report to the Governing Council
• Provide, as required, market information to members on the economic environment.
• Writing of minutes of the Workgroups and Governing Council
• Develop and disseminate communiqué post Market Development events
• Monitors equity, fixed income, money market, commodity and currency markets.
• Collects and disseminates information affecting markets in general.
• Devise and evaluate methods of collecting data such as survey, focus groups, questionnaires and opinion polls.
• Advise on investment opportunities through market research to enhance investment returns
• Give input to training content for members.
• Interpret the data collected, organizing this information into statistical tables and reports
• Maintain data on government fiscal policies, monetary policies, interest and exchange rates for analysis and projection.

Qualifications and Experience
• First Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Market Research, Computer science or Related Field
• 2-3 years proven practical experience in a similar position
• Understand the mechanics of the financial markets and fixed income securities
• Ability to think critically and work detail-oriented
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deliver reports under deadlines
