Politics / Why I Was Absent In Court – Orji Kalu by 6Ebisco: 8:22am On Sep 14, 2018
A Former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu has said his absence in court at the last sitting was on health grounds and not in disrespect of the law.

Kalu, who is facing charges of alleged money laundering before a Federal High Court in Lagos, said the application by the counsel for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) seeking the revocation of his bail, was uncalled for.

Justice Mohammed Idris on Monday vowed to apply the full weight of the law on former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu, for absenting himself from the Federal High Court in Lagos for the continuation of his N7.65bn alleged fraud case.

The prosecuting counsel for the EFCC, Mr Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), contended that the former governor had no justification to be absent from the court.

“He (Kalu) cannot, on his own, extend the medical permission given to him by this court; a person going about everywhere obtaining chieftaincy title, doing politics in the country; this (surgical) appointment is contrary to the order of this court.

“Having jumped bail, I apply that his bail be revoked,” Jacobs said.

However, in a statement from Germany, where he is undergoing medical attention, Kalu said he had been diligent in attending court sittings from the inception of his case contrary to statement from EFCC counsel.

The statement read “As a respecter of the judiciary and by extension the rule of law, it is unfair and wicked for Mr. Rotimi Jacobs to have said that I absconded from facing trial.”

“I was very disappointed when I heard the statement credited to Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN). It is on record that since the commencement of this case in 2007, this is the first time I have never been present from court except the last sitting, which was beyond me.

“I have had to reschedule my surgery many times so as to be present in court at all times.

“My surgery was originally scheduled for August 1 but due to my appearance in court on July 31, I could not meet up with my surgical appointment.

“All my efforts to get a new date in August proved abortive as my doctor was on his annual family vacation and the earliest date granted was September 10.

“To catch up with the new appointment, I left Nigeria on August 31 to visit and inform my mother in the US about the surgery before departing for Germany.

“On September, ahead of my operation booked for 2.15pm, as I entered the hospital at 10.00am for preparations before moving into the theatre room, about mid-day, one of my aides Dr. Frank Osita-Chuks, rushed into the consulting room, where I was placed on drip, that my lawyer, Mr. Goddy Uche (SAN), asked me to call him on phone urgently.

“Following the approval of the nurse on duty, I immediately put a call through to my counsel, who informed me that I must be present in the next court sitting slated for September 20 and 21.

“After the telephone conversation with my lawyer, I was unhappy when he told me about what transpired in the court.

“Thereafter, I had to ask for my doctor’s advice, who did not hide his displeasure over incessant cancellations of the long overdue surgery, who bluntly told me that once the operation is conducted, healing will not take less than 5 weeks and as such if I want to make the next court sitting, I had better, again, reschedule the surgical operation for September 24, based on his schedule.”

Celebrities / Nigerian Woman Welcomes Beautiful Baby After 19 Miscarriages (photos) by 6Ebisco: 9:11am On Sep 13, 2018
A Nigerian woman identified as Sandra Harrison had been through mini-hell before she gave birth a beautiful bouncing baby girl.

According to the Mass Communications graduate, she had over 19 miscarriages in the space of six years and even stopped counting when it was getting too much.

She was told by doctors that she had fibroid and her Fallopian tubes were affected but the excited lady has given birth to a cute and bouncing baby girl after 6 years of marriage.

Here is what she posted on Facebook…

Medical doctors in Owerri said I had fibroid, my fallopian tubes were tilted and that my hormones were imbalanced. After trying and failing with hospitals and medical doctors, I had to try traditional doctors, herbalists if u may, and of cos they had their own reports. Ukwu oku, ehie afor, and the rest of them. Herbs (ogu igbo) took me to different parts of the east, aba, mbaise, anambra, orlu, ngwa, just to mention a few.

It’s not like I wasn’t getting pregnant, I was, but I kept loosing the pregnancies. I stopped counting when I had lost over 19 babies (19 miscarriages), because after all, it was not an achievement, I told myself there was no point keeping records.

I took drugs and drank concotions till I was almost shapeless, people kept telling me “Sandra ure getting fat oh, u better watch it”, without knowing what I was going thru, how would I have told them that it was the hormonal drugs that was making me fat.

A lot of things were said, a lot of gossip went out, I heard them all but still smiled with the people that said them, after all, they were “friends”, and some family.

One said she went with me to whr I did the abortion that cost me my womb, another said I have plans of leaving my husband that’s why I didn’t want to get pregnant for him, another said I should keep buying cars, instead of building my home and filling it up with children, another said God has not given me my own kids because I don’t appreciate other people’s kids, another said im eating the children in my womb tru witchcraft, another said God will not bless me with my own kids because I have a bad character. I was called barren, a man, a wood, infertile, a witch……. the list of names and gossip is endless.

I prayed, oh believe you me, I prayed, I fasted, I cried, I went to different churches, I was in the chior, I cleaned the church on Saturdays. To a large extent I was faithful to God, yet nothing happened, and I kept asking God why he hated me so much.

But when it was time, it was time. God showed up, He proved himself strong, he showed me He didn’t hate me.

After 6 years of marriage, 6 years of waiting, 6 years of praying, 6 years of crying, 6 years of fasting, 6 years of mockery, 6 years if gossip, 6 years of pain, God decided to dry my late night tears with this beautiful miracle, MY BABY GIRL.

I call her CHIZARAMEKPERE. KENDRA. OLAOLUWA. FAVOUR. ONYEMACHI.

Welcome MY PRINCESS.

Celebrities / Why I Have Not Sued Wizkid – Babymama by 6Ebisco: 10:44am On Sep 11, 2018
Binta Diallo the second baby mama to popular musician, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, also known as Wizkid, yesterday explained why she has not sued the singer for allegedly being an irresponsible father to their son, Junior.

According to her, she wanted to sue him but his family begged her to opt for an out of court settlement in order not to create immigration problems for him.

DAILY POST reports that Diallo had earlier called out the singer for not paying their son’s school fees after Wizkid tweeted that he planned to build public schools across Africa.

However, sharing on Instagram copies of the agreement that her lawyers and Wizkid’s lawyers drafted about seven months ago which the singer was yet to sign for reasons unknown, she wrote: “This is some of the agreements/settlements that was provided by both of our lawyers which was supposed to be resolved outside court by February 2018.

“I didn’t sue him or take the case to court because some of his family members begged not to and said that wiz himself want to settle everything with the lawyers without involving the courts because he didn’t want to get in trouble with immigration.

“So, I listened and accepted that deal and gave him a chance to do the right thing. That was 7 months ago and since then his lawyers keep telling my lawyers that they have not been able to reach their client or his management team. #more receipts on the way.”

The Federal Government has disclosed that 15 people of Umuozu community in Otolo, a suburb of Anambra State, lost their lives to gully erosion in the area.

Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Abubakar Bwari, who was drawn to the gas emission from exposed coal seam in the community, dispatched a team of officers from the ministry to visit the scene for preliminary inspection and to hold discussion with the affected community.

The team observed that the gully erosion led to some coal seams which were exposed with emitting gases, adding that there was also intermittent fire flares from the exposed coal seams, which commenced around December 2017.

According to the minister, “Coal deposits are known to contain several gases that are highly toxic and injurious to human health and environment.

“In this case, the deaths could be as a result of the coal releasing carbon dioxide and other gases that if inhaled could cause harm to human beings.

Bwari continued, “In this light, the ministry has ordered further investigation on the effect of this on humans and the environment.

“This is to ascertain the type of gas as well as proffer adequate solutions so as to curb the situation. In order to ascertain the effect on the ecosystem, samples of the coal and water were taken from the affected community for further investigations.”

Politics / Saraki Reveals Why He Wants To Be President Of Nigeria by 6Ebisco: 5:33pm On Sep 10, 2018
Senate President Bukola Saraki has revealed why he is aspiring to be president of Nigeria. According to him, he is driven by an obsession for justice, fairness and respect for the rule of law.

Speaking on Monday in Makurdi when he met with Benue State Working Committee of the PDP, Saraki said,

“I want to be President so that I can ensure justice and fairness for everyone; I want a country where the rule of law will be respected by all.”

Saraki’s visit was to solicit support for his presidential aspiration ahead of the 2019 general elections. “We need leaders who are capable of representing all interest groups, and not a section of the country.

“My presidential ambition is a collective decision borne out of a desire to salvage the disunity that we are witnessing,” he said. Saraki claimed that it was the turn of the North-Central geopolitical zone to produce the nation’s President, declaring that he was ready to provide quality leadership.

“As a zone, we have paid our dues. It is the turn of our zone to lead Nigeria to stability. “We have gone through bad times. The nation has become crises-ridden; the killings are uncalled for and the Benue valley is the worst hit.

“There should be justice to every citizen, regardless of geographical location. “Democracy entails freedom or rights of the people. Our rights should not be imprisoned,” he said.

The senate president vowed to restore peace in the country if elected as President, calling on Benue delegates to vote for him during PDP’s convention slated for October.

It is no more news that female singing sensation, Seyi Shay has put up her version of Adekunle Gold’s “Damn Delilah” song

The song which is a female response to the accusations made by the persona in the original version has also been accepted by fans

Adekunle Gold has explained the rationale behind his choice of Seyi Shay for the role of Delilah in his latest music video. In the video for the song, ‘Damn Delilah,’ one of the tracks on Gold’s About 30 album and which depicts the situation of a cheating spouse, Shay is featured as the love interest of Gold.

In a message to fans, Gold said the choice of Seyi Shay was tied to her stature as a “strong, beautiful, independent woman.” According to him, “since I love strong, beautiful independent women, there was no one else better than Seyi Shay to ask to create this for you. “I am so grateful to her.

She is undeniably the most receptive, down to earth and exciting people to work with. “Delilah was meant to empower men (everyone really) to speak about their heartbreak, something that taboo with us. “I hope this treat inspires women (everyone too) to end the chase quickly if they aren’t into each other.”

Following the release of the video, Shay has put out a response-song titled ‘Delilah’s Tale’ which has lyrics like: “I never said I was looking for love, in your head we were a thing but it was only a fling.”

Politics / 2019: Six APC Governors, 30 NASS Members To Join Us – PDP by 6Ebisco: 7:40pm On Sep 05, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday confirmed that it was concluding discussions with six state governors and members of the National Assembly elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of their defection to the PDP.

According to a statement issued by Kola Ologbondiyan, its National Publicity Secretary, in Abuja, PDP has already concluded discussions with six APC governors and 27 APC members in the National Assembly, who it said have also drawn their consultations and secured the mandates of their constituents to move to the PDP ahead of the 2019 general election.

The statement read: “there are discussions on control of party structures in the affected states and senatorial zones have also reached the advanced stage and would be completed in a couple of weeks after which the governors and lawmakers will announce their defection to the PDP.

“However, in line with decisions reached, the discussions, the members of the National Assembly decamping to the PDP will cross-carpet at the reconvening of the session in the two chambers, which will increase the PDP majority in both chambers.”

The party assured that all grey areas of the agreement, including issues of waivers and accommodation for participation in primaries, were being smoothened out by the former Governor Liyel Imoke-led PDP Contact and Integration Committee, “which has been galvanizing our alliances among stakeholders across other parties, including those from the APC.”

The PDP commended the spirit of tolerance, dialogue, accommodation and oneness of purpose that pervaded the alliance among members.

The party expressed its readiness to take back control of power at the center, as well as in our traditional states of Plateau, Niger, Adamawa, Kano, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Kaduna, Katsina, Kogi, Jigawa, Zamfara, Imo, Edo as well as southwest states of Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Lagos states.

The PDP, therefore, charged all members and supporters to remain steadfast and wary of the gimmicks of the deflated APC, which has resorted to sponsoring spurious publications filled with deceptions, fabrications and lies against our party.

“Nigerians across the board for their overwhelming support and solidarity with the repositioned PDP as expressed in the unprecedented interest in our tickets for various elective positions, particularly the presidency, governorship and National Assembly positions, in addition to spirited public discourse at all levels of political engagements across our country.

“These interests and movements from the APC to the PDP are indicators of the consensus by Nigerians to rally on the platform of the PDP to end the economic hardship, bloodletting, violence and infrastructural decay that have become the hallmark of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration, and return our nation to the path of unity, national cohesion and economic prosperity, which the PDP is known for,” the statement added.

Politics / Nigerian Soldiers Death Toll Rises In Daring Boko Haram Attack by 6Ebisco: 7:20pm On Sep 02, 2018
Seventeen additional bodies of gallant Nigerian soldiers who lost their lives while preventing Boko Haram thugs from overrunning their base on Thursday evening have been recovered by a search and rescue team overseeing the aftermath of the attack, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.

The remains of one officer and 16 soldiers were recovered this weekend in the general area of Mobbar Local Government Area, Borno State, multiple military sources told PREMIUM TIMES. The soldiers were attacked at their base in Zari Village, north of Maiduguri and near the border with the Republic of Niger.

Troops from 145 Battalion who are leading the search and rescue efforts have transferred the bodies to Maiduguri, Borno State capital and heart of the Boko Haram’s campaign of terror, sources said.

Search and rescue operations have intensified for the remaining soldiers who are still missing in action as of Saturday night.

At least two officers and 46 soldiers have now been confirmed killed in the attack with the latest recoveries, which came a day after PREMIUM TIMES reported that31 soldiers had been confirmed killed and 19 wounded in the attack.

The attack is the deadliest against a unit since Boko Haram resumed its attacks against military formations in July.

Scores of Nigerian troops were killed in successive attacks between mid and late July, raising fresh concerns about a resurgent sect amongst top military chiefs. At least 90 soldiers have now been confirmed killed within the past six weeks.

The Army confirmed Zari attack occurred in a statement late Friday, but Onyema Nwakchukwu — a spokesperson for the theatre command in Maiduguri— initially said soldiers killed many Boko Haram insurgents when they repelled the attack.

But when told by PREMIUM TIMES that there are confirmations that dozens of troops were killed, Mr Nwachukwu, a colonel, said he did not immediately have details of military casualties.

“I am only aware of aerial bombardment and the response of the ground troops that left many Boko Haram fighters killed,” Mr Nwachukwu said by telephone Saturday afternoon. “But I am not aware of soldiers’ casualties and I would not have such information until it gets to my desk.”

Mr Nwachukwu could not be reached for comments about the additional recoveries Sunday afternoon, as his telephone line indicated it was switched off.

Texas Chukwu, chief spokesperson for the Nigerian Army who had largely refrained from commenting to the media on the attack, insisted no soldiers were killed in Zari on Thursday.

“No soldier was killed and nothing was recovered,” Mr Chukwu, a brigadier-general, told PREMIUM TIMES Sunday afternoon when told that military responders have recovered fresh bodies and evacuated them to Maiduguri. “We do not know where you are getting this information from.”

Mr Chukwu also said Boko Haram casualties could not be confirmed because the insurgents usually carry bodies of their colleagues when fleeing from a firefight.

The Nigerian Air Force said it launched aerial bombardment of Boko Haram positions during its response to the attack, and uploaded a short video clip of fleeing terrorists who it said were neutralised.

The latest recoveries of bodies of slain soldiers also come at a period President Muhammadu Buhari was highlighting the success of his administration in decimating the terror group.
Buhari addressing Nigeria community in China [Photo: TheCable]

Speaking at an interactive session at the weekend with members of the Nigerian community in China during his trip to the country, the president reaffirmed that his government has succeeded in curtailing Boko Haram insurgents in the country, adding that the terror group no longer controls any part of the country.

He attributed the success to operations of security agencies deployed to counter insurgency in the North-eastern part of the country.

‘‘You will all recall that we contested the last election basically on three issues, which includes security, especially in the North-east,” Mr Buhari was quoted as saying in a statement by the presidency.

‘‘The Boko Haram used to occupy quite a number of local governments in Borno State but they are not in anyone now. They have resorted to a very dangerous way of terrorism by indoctrinating young people, mostly girls and attacking soft targets, churches, mosques and marketplaces,’’ he said.

He lamented that at independence in 1960, the world looked up to Nigeria as the most populous black nation to become the superpower for the black race but instead our country began to crumble with our cocoa farms, groundnut pyramids, palm oil trees disappearing while our culture became polluted.

Da-silva decried the use of religion and tribal sentiments by our leaders to divide and enslave the masses such that they rob the nation blind.

The aspirant argued that “a nation where its people can’t sleep with both eyes closed cannot be a productive nation as our leaders so far have failed to provide the right diagnoses for the problems of the country.”

The American-based presidential aspirant stressed that “the problem of our country is rooted in joblessness, which in turn leads to poverty. Poverty subsequently leads to insecurity. There is a direct relationship between poor health and educational system, joblessness, poverty, and insecurity, and if we remove joblessness/unemployment including non-payment of salaries, poverty will go down and insecurity problem will disappear.”

Their activities allegedly turned the vicinity into a haven for drug peddlers and armed robbers.

Due to these complaints received, the police laid surveillance and subsequently arrested 41 of the ladies, most of whom Chief Inspector Eninful said were Nigerians between 18 and 25 years.

- Ghana president, Akufo-Addo, has charged pastors making wealth out of church practice to pay tax

- He said this while addressing a congregation of worshippers during a church service

- Akufo-Addo noted that churches are now becoming pale shadow of what they used to be generations ago

Nana Akufo-Ado, the president of Ghana has declared that churches that amass wealth through prosperity preaching will be made to pay tax.

Punch reports that the president of Ghana was seen making the harsh declaration during a synod of the Global Evangelical Church at the University of Ghana.

Mcebisco.Com.Ng notes that recently, a number of churches in Ghana have found a way of making wealth out of conventional church practice like preaching. According to Akufo-Addo, churches are becoming “ pale shadow of what they used to be generations ago.”

Meanwhile, Mcebisco.Com.Ng early reported that a video concerning the activities of a Christian prophet who calls himself 'angel' is going viral on the Ghanaian social media space.

But this time, it has nothing to do with the controversial Bishop Daniel Obinim but one pastor, Bishop Richard Owusu 'Bohyeba' who also describes himself as 'sika bɔfoɔ' which literally translates as 'money angel.'

Culture / Ibadan High Chiefs Boycott Olubadan’s Birthday Celebration by 6Ebisco: 11:09pm On Aug 26, 2018
The Ibadan High Chiefs, who were elevated to the status of Obas by Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state, were conspicuously absent at a reception organized to mark the 90th birthday of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, on Sunday.

The High Chiefs, who recently made peace with the Olubadan after almost one year of face-off with the monarch as a result of the controversial review of the Ibadan chieftaincy law by the state government, stayed away from the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, venue of the reception.

This made guests at the Olubadan’s 90th birthday party to suspect that their rift with Oba Adetunji was yet to be over.

One of the Olubadan’s aides, who spoke with journalists under anonymity, expressed surprise that the High Chiefs decided to stay away from the party, despite the invitation by the state government.

However, those present at the reception were the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi; the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola; the Olugbo of Igbo, Oba Obateru Akirintan; and the Obanikoro of Lagos, who represented the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinolu.

Others include Governor Ajimobi, his wife, Florence Ajimobi; former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala; and former Senate Majority Leader, Teslim Folarin.

Others included the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, Senator Rasidi Ladoja; the Iyalode of Ibadanland, Alhaja Aminat Abiodun; the Are Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta states; Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola, Engr. Seyi Makinde; Chief Sarafadeen Alli; Senator Gbenga Babalola; Primate Sunday Ola Makinde; and Senator Kamorudeen Adedibu.

Ajimobi, while speaking, said that he had no issue with Mr. Yinka Ayefele, the owner of Music House which houses Fresh FM.

The Governor, who explained that his government went against Ayefele for violating town planning law, insisted that the only way to avoid face-off with the law was for every citizen to be law-abiding.

He, however, said that his administration will take up the responsibility of rebuilding the N800 Music House because he does not want his political enemies to use that to attack his administration.

Chairman of the Olubadan 90th birthday planning committee, Professor Taoheed Adedoja in his welcome address, noted that one of the lessons of the birthday celebration is that “the Yoruba tradition which the Olubadan represents, should be preserved, respected and protected.”
President General of Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Yemi Soladoye in his address, described the monarch as a unique ruler.

He said, “We have no ruling house, no sacred crown, no complicated Ifa Oracle choice and no slave family in a city of warriors”.

Soladoye, who also mentioned the feud between the Monarch and his High Chiefs, enjoined the Olubadan to use the occasion of the 90th birthday to ensure that the crisis was resolved before the advent of a new administration in the state in May 2019.

He said “The CCII knows that Kabiyesi is not against reforms, but considering the peculiar situation of Ibadan chieftaincy arrangement, identified three areas of – authorization, jurisdiction, and code of conduct must be addressed for any review of the Olubadan chieftaincy law to succeed.”

He wrote;

Are you ready, or you are busy bagging certificate upon certificates, others are busy making money. Is your soul ready to meet her redeemer

I hear the voice of the angels of the living God Almighty preparing to sound the trumpet of the end of the age. What would be the faith of so many who have trampled on foot the precious blood of the new agreement sealed in the blood of Christ our saviour.

What about others who have claimed to be a disciple but have their conscience destroy because of works of their flesh. There is still time right now to knee by yourself and repent of your errors. I am telling you the truth, if you love me, you will hear.

Awake o you sleepers that light from heaven may shine on you all

Politics / Lawmaker 'hires Thugs' To Attack Community For Asking Questions About Constituen by 6Ebisco: 11:33pm On Aug 24, 2018
Alhassan Ado Garba, the member representing Tudun-Wada/Doguwa Constituency of Kano State at the House of Representatives, has allegedly hired thugs to vandalise properties of his constituents for questioning how he spent the allowance allocated to them for projects.

The development was uncovered by Tracka, a community of active citizens dedicated to tracking the implementation of government projects in their community to ensure service delivery.

Tracka had worked with some members of the community, led by Sule Yaro, to enlighten members of Alhassan’s Constituency on holding their political representatives accountable.

The lawmaker was said to have stormed the community in the company of thugs, who unleashed mayhem, leaving burnt cars and houses in their wake.

According to residents of Tudun-Wada/Doguwa who spoke to SaharaReporters, Alhassan brought in thugs into the community when he came home for Sallah.

“We saw some thugs come with Hon. Alhassan when he came for Sallah. We didn’t know what he wanted to do or why he brought them into the community until they attacked us,” a resident said.

An official of Tracka, who spoke to SaharaReporters, said: “On Monday, I was hinted by some people that the lawmaker came with thugs and was looking for the team because of the projects monitored.

“He was angry and was telling people that the team and Tracka want to ruin his political career.”

While giving an account of what transpired, Yaro, whose house and son’s motorcycle was burnt, said the tracking team had to leave their community for fear of being killed. He also alleged that Alhassan’s thugs were planning to launch another attack targeted at his family.

He said: “My vehicle and my son’s motorcycle were burnt. All together, about nine vehicles were destroyed. Houses were also not spared.

“I ran away from my community with my family after I was advised by community members that he (Hon. Alhassan) is after my life.”

Mohammed Hussein Umar, another member of the tracking team, who is also a resident of the community, condemned the act by Alhassan, stating that when the thugs entered his house, they broke his furniture and every other thing they could lay their hands on.

He said: “The thugs entered houses, broke and damaged anything they saw. All together, not less than seven cars were damaged in the attack.”

Attempts to reach Alhassan were futile, as calls to his mobile number did not connect. He had also failed to respond to a text message sent to him at the time of filing this report.

Alhassan, 53, is a graduate of Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano.

Politics / 2019: Labour Party Pledges 16 Million Votes For Buhari by 6Ebisco: 6:00am On Aug 24, 2018
National Chairman of the Labour Party Dr Mike Omotoso on Thursday said the party will deliver about 16 million votes to President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.

Dr Omotoso, 2015 governorship candidate of the party said this on Thursday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital at the launch of canvassers for President Buhari’s reelection in next year presidential election.

Earlier, Minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed hinted that the president’s reelection would be boosted by no less than 16 million votes through the administration’s feeding programme for school pupils.

The Labour Party chairman said the party was on discussion with the All progressives Congress (APC).

He added that the time to salvage the time from one man’s rule is now, assuring that the party would deliver workers’ votes to the president.

He added that “no man is God. This is the time to bail our people out of the political bondage.”

“However, our terms with APC must align with the ideals of the workers, as the party is that of the downtrodden and the masses,” he said.

Also speaking interim Caretaker chair of APC in the state Hon Bashir Bolarinwa urged all to sincerely queue behind Alhaji Lai Mohammed as he is the current leader of the party in the state.

He added that “with that we capture power from a hegemony that had over the years held us hostage.

“We must not allowed ourselves to be deceived by the blackmails and lies against President Muhammadu Buhari against his reelection.

Prophets are not respected in their homes. What happened in 1985 when he was overthrown must not happen in 2019.”...Read More Here
