Diplomacy constitutes an important part of the international conflict resolution mechanism. Hence, the role of diplomacy and negotiation is undeniably essential in keeping world peace today. Originally, ancient Greeks used “diplōma” a term used to describe an object folded in two. This referred to a document that allowed one to travel or be permitted special privileges abroad. These privileges were often tied to the role of a modern-day diplomat.

The issue between Russia and Ukraine does not need to escalate further. With proper diplomats on ground, the issue can be cemented once and for all!
