.1- Russian interest early in the war was to support Biafra. They sent an emissary, who appear in Enugu like a mystery, but Ojukwu refused to give him audience believing doing so will pit the British against him. The emissary came to propose moving Russian naval assets into Lagos and PH waters to prevent British interference. We would have won the war but would also have be a communist country.

2. Yes, Ojukwu was correct in his assessment of British fears, how ever his failure is that he did not realise how badly Britain wanted Niger delta oil and were already pitted against him. You mangled everything beyond recognition here.. I will help you to set some points clear:

1) It was The USSR that armed The Nigerian government togt with The British and co and not Russia. The USSR had many states as members, so it will be wrong to single out just Russia to pour your venom..

2) Both Ukraine and Russia were members of the USSR. Essentially, if you are going to lambast The Russians for the role of The Soviets in The Biafran genocide, you also have to apportion blames to the Ukrainians who as a that time were equal members of The USSR.

3) The Soviet support for Nigeria during the war, in my own reasoning is a function of ojukwus heady diplomacy. The USSR demanded what they wanted from him and he said no! The Nigerians went and The USSR asked for the same things and The Nigerians accepted everything, even if they later refused to follow up. Ojukwu sent Mbanefo first before Enahoro went for Nigeria. Point of correction. Russia played no part in the civil war, rather USSR did of which Ukraine was a principal part of the USSR. Does it account for nothing that in all the Soviet republic's, only Russia, Ukraine and Khajastan had nukes?
