I did not finish reading and I knew it was stupid Airtel. I stopped using Airtel for data due to their data theft.
I use Glo and MTN.

The highlighted was what i was just waiting to hear. Airtel are broad day light robbers when it comes to data. i bought 10 gigs data last month and 4 gigs disappeared overnight, before the next day ran out 10gigs was gone. i quickly rushed and get an MTN sim fast and im now enjoying the true meaning of data.

Talking about data in Nigeria, MTN is way ahead of other networks. Everyone should switch to mtn till others wake up. Although I hardly can finish 1.5GB monthly not when the internet is not my home, I believe in the near future, satellite internet will take over leaving these networks to die out naturally.

PS. You may want to switch off background data and stop unnecessary download on playstore.

Immidiately I read the first Paragraph, I already knew it was Airtel Same thing those Bastards did to me last week, and you know what? They started that stupidity when it really mattered to me, I was busy working on my Pc (Programming) and the way my data kept finishing within a twinkle of an eye was so unusual. I kept on subscribing and the same kept happening! I had to call their Customer care Line and the way I Shouted at the fool who picked ehn, I'm very sure he'd have gone deaf for some minutes

It's the automatic updates on your pc that's zapping your data. Make your connection metered and the zapping would stop.

Next is Access Bank, I did Transfer of 63k to get some Packages for my Room here in school, the account I did the transfer to hasn't received the money, and I was deducted, the seller has gone to his bank and they told him that the fault is from my own bank. I'll buy Airtime from my bank to my Second Line or transfer to someone, I'll be deducted but the Airtime wouldn't add to my Sim's balance nor the person I transfered to, and I wouldn't be refunded. Not to talk of the N300 they keep deducting everytime for heaven knows why sake!

I did 20 Gig three times last month. They will just leave you bewildered as to where your data go, and I checked my data usage, there's nothing correlating with the drastic loss of data. I think we should drag them on Twitter as earlier suggested.

Check Data usage on your phone it will show the apps using your data, some apps have devilish permissions and can use data in the background transmitting your search and web actions so they can serve you adverts!! Then the adverts chop your phone even more.

Use adblock plus and disconnect.me for chrome browser, install application inspector for android to see apps with devilish permissions, constantly updating your location for example. Remove those permissions and thank me later.

My brother Airtel network na thief they be,, I am experiencing the same thing here,,data of 3k can't last for 2days.
We have to do something to them, this stealing has become too much lately.
Tomorrow you will hear them declaring profit of billions naira from stealing from customers. Something has to be done either by bye-cutting the network or hack into their data base.

Check ur background apps and remove it from auto refresh...also check if your apps update automatically, then remove it also...worked for me

Download phone master. Then deactivate apps that run in the background. Only allow app that you need to run in the background.

That has been the trick that have been making my data to last. The only app that runs in the background in my phone is WhatsApp, Facebook. The rest it is only when I open the app that it starts running.

Mtn has started that style. Everyone want to cash out big even telecom companies have joined the crews.

Bros. I use to experience that before... until I went and off all my apps frm running in the background

Do you use your phone's hotspot for your pc? If yes, then you should check that the hotspot is set to "metered connection" on the pc.
