Tribal Sentiments In Nigeria - Why The Hate From Those South Of The Niger? by LegalWolf: 10:25am On Mar 02, 2022
This thread is motivated by one factor - the subtle, yet fanatical, tribal and religious hatred in the Country. This is particularly from those in the South. Many view that the beginning and end of their problems in this life is Northern Muslims. We are the cause of their misfortune and every single problem in this country is attributed to us? Why this sentiments?

I make no generalization. There are exceptional southern Christians who see facts for what they are. But the crux of this topic is for those who have this ideation that were it not for the Muslim North, Nigeria would have been a paradise. Even Muslims of Yoruba origin are not spared in their fanaticism. Once you called their bluff and try to explain things for what they are, you get bullied and called sorts of name.

The truth is that the average Northern folk is just as unfortunate as you lots. Just because someone is Fulani or Hausa or Kanuri does not mean he is immune from the anyhowness of Nigeria. We are as jobless, tired, fustrated, killed and molested like you people. My brothers have never applied for a government job and got it 'just because they are Fulani'. I know how long it took some of my people to get common driver work at the civil service. You don't go to any hospital in the country and they will prioritize you first just because you are a Northerner. BUT THEY WILL PRIORITIZE YOY IF YOU ARE RICH.

Get that distinction. Again, IF YOU ARE A WEALTHY IGBO MAN IN SOKOTO, YOU WILL BE PRIORITIZED FOR ANY BENEFIT BEFORE THE AVERAGE ADAMU. That I am sure of. And I suspect the same will apply to Enugu or Bayelsa.

So, why the hate? A Tinubu or Ameachi would get a job at the NNPC in this current PMB regime than one unknown jauro from adamawa. Under Jonathan's presidency, an atiku or babangida will get a government contract before one Pere from bayelsa. It is f'cking power play and we the masses are the pawn.

Hold your leaders accountable and do not entertain this hatred for one abstract northerner to holding the wheel of your progress. We are not

Op ,i believe is based on our political structure ,the leaders are not left out, they use it as an instrument to enslave the poor, little wonder why the rich don't play this tribal card.

The leaders will set this tribal differences to score cheap political points, they know they could have a shot at the top if they decide to create the imaginary difference and use that as leverage to get up there, some governors(name withheld will not to anything in their state but conme out everyday and insult Buhari vos he knows the strategy works).
U will hear them say its their turn to produce the president but their leaders as governors even neglect them, they are aware that getting presidency won't change their life but they are already brainwashed.

The truth is that the southern youths gets brainwashed and those that still have some sense in them not to fall for that political blackmail are termed aboki.
