his excuse was that he was being lazy in posting (bear in mind his local post office is 9 minutes away from him in walking distance, and second local post office 15 minutes away in walking)



so what he did, he turned up UNANNOUNCED at my house. he lives 40 minutes away from me.



i asked him about it and he said

he lives at station 1 and he was going to station 7 (presumably on a date) so i live on station 5 so he got the train from station 1 to station 5, walked 15 minutes to my house then dropped off my stuff and then walked 15 minutes back to the station and continued onto station 7



i told him this is really confusing for me and he said it is no big deal that he just wanted to drop the items of as it was easier for him

What is wrong in delivering those items himself?
If he had used postal service and something get missing you'd still come here to accuse him of theft.
Since you are not footing his transportation bill that shouldn't be something you'd work yourself over.
