The question has bothered a lot of people. We are living in a world where so many people are suffering and some have ask why God can't intervene to save them from their current suffering. Well, first thing to note is action of humans can cause suffering. Jehovah God has reason(s) why he is allowing this present situation.

One of the reason is at 1Peter 3:9 which says "Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance". If God had immediately executed Adam and Eve, following their sin, none of us would be in existence today. Surely, that is not what we would want.

Moreover, had God at some later time destroyed all who were sinners, we would not have been born. The fact that God has allowed this sinful world that causes suffering to exist until now has afforded us the opportunity to be alive and learn his ways, to make needed changes in our lives, and to avail ourselves of his loving provisions for eternal life. That Jehovah has granted us this opportunity is an evidence of great love on his part. The Bible shows that God has a set time to destroy this wicked system and will do so soon. Habakkuk 2:3 says there is an appointed time,even if there is a delay, it will happen.

There are many reasons God permits suffering.
1. Sometimes God exposes a person to suffering to give him an experience so that when he comes out of the suffering, he can have a feeling of empathy for other people who are suffering.
2. Also, God can make a person suffer to prove a point to that fellow that He is God the Almighty so that such a person can fear God.
3. God can make a person suffer as a result of sin. God allows people to suffer because of their sins and if they repent, He can forgive them and stop the suffering.
4. God can also make a person suffer to test the level of trust such person has in God. He can make a man suffer to see if the man will denounce God and lose interest in serving God or doing good.
Likewise there are many reasons people suffer and think that God permits them to suffer. For instance, people sometimes take action that put them into suffering either consciously or unconsciously. God has given mankind brains and minds to think and take action, He will not coerce anyone but will leave each person to take his decision and bear the consequence of such decision. A good instance is the case in Nigeria where the people know that most of the aspirants for the position of president have no solution to offer, yet because of what they will eat or money the politician will give them as bribe, they will support and vote a candidate who is not fit to be in that position but will put them into further suffering.

He thrives on it. When u suffer u worship him our worship feeds them.

You are correct! I am in agreement with your post and Bible verses cited. I was stating in my post why God allow suffering and not that God cause suffering.
