The NASS has entered one chance!

They can't be the Judge in their own case...

They make the law... Judiciary interprets the law grin grin

NASS will have to start all over to amend the Electoral Act ...A new bill will have to be presented kind of cheesy grin

This is the best news I have received today. For once, I thank the PDP.

Let those idle and roguish Ministers who want to steal money to use for political contest continue with their looting or prepare to leave office 3 months to their black desires.

So Buhari and the rubber stamp Senate president want to tamper and change some laws in the electoral act in order to favor their selfish interest...the electoral bill has been already signed so allow the electoral bill to rest

He made the law and signed it

The house is dominated by APC and they allowed it

So what is the essence of this judgment

PDP that was in power for 16 Years yet couldn’t amend the electoral act, now even taking applause for something they couldn’t do

APC seeks a free and fair election than PDP

Are you just ignorant or plain sycophant?

PDP made the law and amended it several times until APC came to be. Since then, APC has refused further amendments until this one they were forced to do because of popular public opinions.

I'am not against Tinubu candidacy anyways. But I consider is Geo-Political assassination as power zoned to the south and South west still eyeing the seat after eight years of president and eight year of vice president. South east should be considered.

All these sudden developments will all still end in praise to God for the Asiwaju Tinubu victory at the Presidential poll.

On the mandate of Asiwaju Tinubu I stand. Please support and vote for Asiwaju Tinubu

apc always goofed by playing too much with delicate matters. Even the caretaker committee currently handling the party is like a looming doom because it was illegally constituted.
Caretaker committee is a party affair

No court will interfare in internal party wahala, so far they are not against the party rules and regulation.

okay
..but I'm not sure there's any office like caretaker chairman/committee in APC constitution. I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong though.

Why did Bihari sign it into law in the first place if doesn't like that clause?
Nigeria politicians making mokery of themselves.

He had no choice because the law had to be signed in that week otherwise inec would not be able to use it for 2023.
If he sends it back for amendment it wont meet the required time table

There is a section in the APC constitution, which empowers the National Executive Committee to set up a caretaker committee and this caretaker committee is to do the job of any of the organs of the party where there is vacancy or vacancies.”.

The antagonist here is the AGF, Malami. He doesn't want his men to resign before contesting the elections. They want to use Federal Might and forces to intimidate their opponents.

I think Malami is interested in contesting for a political position.

The question should be "is it constitutional for a court to stop the legislatures from exercising their the functions?" I know it's the function of the legislative body to make and reform laws.
