1. Elizabeth j. Feinler
Elizabeth Jocelyn is an American information scientist. She was the first director of the Network information system center at the Stanford Research institute. She and her team members at ARPANET developed the operating system for Defense Data Network and the internet.

2. Karen Sparck Jones
She was a pioneer British computer scientist. She developed the concept of inverse document frequency (IDP)- the foundation for new-age search engines.

3. Katherine Johnson
An American mathematician, a NASA employee, whose works in orbits mechanics and calculations contributed immensely towards the first and subsequent USA crewed spaceflights. She helped pioneered use of computers in calculating numbers.

4. Radia Perlman
An American programmer and network engineer. She is famous for her invention of spanning –tree protocol which is fundamental to the operating systems of network bridges. She also contributed to link-state routing protocol.

5. Adele Goldberg
A computer scientist, She is a pioneer in developing the programming language Smalltalk-80 and various object focused programming.

6. Mary Allen Wilkes
Presently a lawyer, but was formerly a computer programmer and logic designer. Her work during her time at the LINC computer contributed towards what is today known as ‘personal computers.’

7. Annie Easely
She was an African American scientist, mathematician and Rocket scientist. She was a leading member of the team which developed the software for centaur rocket stage..
8. Grace hopper

A scientist and a united state navy admiral, she was one of the first programmers of the Harvard mark computer. She is known to have invented one of the first linkers. Her theory on independent programming language was extended to create COBOL an early high-end programming still in use presently.
