Though there may not have been any formal promises not to contest at the end of his tenure as a Vice President between him and his benefactor Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and there's still no formal declaration yet from him, a one-on-one father to son discussion would have given more respect to aspiration of both of them.

So far, many of his close align have come out to kick against Tinubu's ambition and calling for his declaration.

Tinubu may be old at this time but not getting his support may be disastrous to the VP's ambition. The case of Osun State between him and Aregbesola is still very fresh.

Instead of going through the back door, why not fixing a formal or informal meeting while calling your close associates not to talk down on the elderly benefactor?

A lot of Nigerians may not even like Tinubu but many politicians will jump on his support to the Presidency. How much more you as a son.

Even as all index has shown, you may contest, doing that without Tinubu's support may not be totally right. It's time to ignore whosoever tries to talk down on the elderly man and seek his support and blessings.

The President as it is today, may not do without Tinubu's support if he's even to contest ever.

Even though I still support Peter Obi, I know an in-house fighting between you and Tinubu will only do other aspirants good.

It's high time to consider pacifying him even with highly respected individuals. If he so choose to contest, your support for him will sincerely show a man of a good heart and standing. As the saying goes, don't bite the finger that once fed you.

He once considered you against his wish, if it calls for your support, please do. Probably, this may just be a test for your loyalty to him. We need someone to lift us up.
