Having know that the price of diesel has skyrocketed to over 200% from 230 to 630/liters and also an increase of 120% on explosives. Thereby affecting the quarry operators in Nigeria.

The Ebonyi state consolidated quarry operators decided to increase the prices of the chippings to 100% to Atleast cover the extra expenses.

The Ebonyi state Governor represented by the Deputy Govs, Barr. Kelechi Igwe called for an urgent meeting and banned all operators to reduce their price to the status quo until a group of seven persons committee finds out the correct information on the diesel and bow it affects the business. However, such oppressions ans dictate by the government is not new to them., One of the them said.

It is over four days now, the Government is already at the door of all operators and threatening to shut their operations down if they continue with the new price.
Meanwhile, the Consolidated Quarry Operator through their lawyer had meeting with a communique to continue with the new price and till the diesel price is reduced.
