These people rather than in invest in Russia chose to do so in the West and see what they are getting in return. Chinese and some Arab billionaires will think twice on investing in USA/Europe.

The western sanctions are to drive Putin's "boys" to turn against him. The west does not care how the sanctions will affect Russians, Ukrainians, or citizens of their own countries. They want Putin out at all costs even if it escalates to nuclear weapons

A poor man wouid shop where the rich also shop, buy the same type of car the rich buy and spread the payment as convenient, unlike here where you pay for everything before owning it. Same with mortgage. A poor man can settle the mortgage for his entire life, to enable him live his dream. Everyone is already affected by sanctions in Russia. Even those countries who didn't participate in the war are feeling the impact of those sanctions. When Western companies were leaving Nigeria in 2015, a lot of people including our government called their bluff , they bragged it was Buhari's body language that made them leave while some blamed it on the recession. They took all their money away in capital flight. Now, you know the effect on our economy and currency value. How much is the dollar today? I leave that to you to answer

America warned Putin severally before the war, they even told Russians that their sanctions is not after them but to make Putin understand.

But sincerely, we have seen a lot of senseless sanctions on Russians that might not necessarily be connected with what is going on with Russia/Ukraine. Even russian investments abroad are not spared i.e. Chelsea fc and lots of others.
It really shows that the Westerners aren't really as smart as we perceive them to be.
Innocent people paying the price of some Government's decisions which they might even be against but without powers to stop.
Then it means Nigerians can always be punished for decisions made by Buhari whether or not they're in support of it.
