Conspiracy theorists spread misinformation that the virus is not contagious, is the result of laboratory manipulation, or was created for profit by distributing new vaccines. The most dangerous effect of this widespread misinformation is that it will negatively affect attitudes and behaviors to take preventive measures to contain the outbreak. In this review, the authors discuss common conspiracy theories related to SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19. |
