Dave Umahi's lawyers applied to withdraw a case of Stay of Execution, because they had successfully filed an appeal, which makes stay of execution mere academic..The judge acted in the same vein to struck out the case after PDP lawyers did not oppose the motion.

If the supreme court affirm the judgment of the federal high court when the case get to the Apex court,all those other previous politicians who decamp can either be told to leave or be the last set of politicians to enjoy such previlege and it will be stated in the Judgment.

The Federal high court Judge ment that claim votes are for political party is very correct so taking the party mandate elsewhere is illogical.

He is not eligible to contest for the office of the governor of Ebonyi state again if he loses at the courts. The constitution bars any person that has been elected to the office of governor twice for contesting for the said office.

I have seen many cases where the judge allows the woman take the kids away especialy if the father of the kids is irresponsible.

With the striking out by the federal high court,he can now approach the appeal court to get the stay of execution via an exparte order pending the determination of the substantive appeal already filed before the appeal court. That's the process.

If he had approached the appellate court directly for the stay of execution,they may likely refuse it and refer him back to the high court that issued the original ruling thereby making him not to get appeal on time.

But I can see some people here already jubilating without understanding what really happened. Lol
