Facts about Rochas Okorocha you probably didn't know before today ��

1) As a senator, Owelle Rochas Okorocha does not collect a salary. Surprising right? But it's a fact. While most political office holders seek more means of amassing wealth through their office, Rochas does not.
2) During his tenure as Governor of Imo state, Transparency International and the Bureau of Statistics adjudged Imo as the least corrupt state in Nigeria.
3)Over 22,000 Nigerian youths have benefitted from his Foundation (Rochas Foundation), through free education and empowerment. The Foundation, which was founded in 1998, long before he got involved in politics or assumed office is located in various parts of Nigeria and Africa.
4) Rochas Okorocha is very passionate about women's empowerment. He voted in favour of women's inclusive bills, which sought to increase the number of women in power and decision-making. According to him, "Women should not be seen as second-class citizens but as equal partners."
5) He is also a progenitor of free education as he believes poverty should not hinder access to quality education, seeing that education is not just a way to live, but life itself, a catalyst for potentials untapped.
His bill for Free basic education made it into the constitution.
6 During his governorship tenure, Infrastructural impact was recorded, medical, employment, academic, and ICT amenities were provided.
