lagos was built from cocoa from ekiti and other SW states chiped in

abuja was built on oil from all 3 geopoplitical zone (SW, SE, SS)by babaganda

jos was built on the tin exploration in the 70's check ur history, no drop on oil got to jos

Abuja =Yes, it was built using Oil money NOT SOUTH EASTERN MONEY BUT SS Mainly

Lagos= No, it is the only self sufficient state in Nigeria

Kaduna= No. Not sure but I think she gets her money from trading with the Sharia part of Africa

Jos= No. She has natural resources that lead to influx of people to the state. Jos produces Aluminum and Copper . . .

This thread have deviated from the actual topic termed merger of existing states not al this. Bru ha ha. Southeast needs more state and we will get more states until we are satisfied.

I don't care whether states are merged or new ones are created as long as every zone will have equall number of states.

so because oil was first discovered in balysea does not mean the state's oil built nigeria as a country

Nigeria highest oil producing state is RIVERS STATE thanks to the bonny islands as well which acount for about 45 % of gas and oil

the second is DELTA STATE and itsekiri and urhobo land which accounts for 35% of the oil and gas before then going to states like balysea or akwa,ibom, ondo

Brother i do not think balysea is worse hit more than states like delta, ondo, awka ibom and most especially rivers state

you see my brother, all nigerian states are all in the same boat

brother can u recall of the sandal of millions of pounds paid by shell that was given to the traditional rulers in balysea state

now were did that money go to its all gone

in terms of enviromental disaster, Shell and chevron offered to clean up the delta and belysea area but the triditional and governor of those states refused (during alams time) and said they will clean it up by themselves if shell and cheveron gives them the money

and of course they were paid the money but still there was no clean up effort

Insha Allah, jonthan(a balysea ijaw man) is the president now so lets see what he can do for his people
