It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by mrbenjame: 7:55am On Mar 26, 2022 |
Good day my respectable and honorable youth of Nigeria. It has all come to our notice that the people that claims we are leaders of tomorrow don’t want to give chance for youth to pilot the affairs of the country. Today it’s Buhari, tomorrow is Atiku, next tomorrow is Tinubu. Hey come on.... we need to do something very fast. This people don’t have our interest at heart. Since the demonstration of the end SARS protest that was when I started believing what the unity of Nigerian youth can do. I so much believe Nigerian youth to my last blood and I think it’s possible to take over power from this old people. They’ve got no ideas to move this country forward. This is why I think we should have a party for just the youth. The pillar of every society is the Youth. Maybe Youth Democratic Party. Let’s forget about funds to run elections. We can always contribute for any credible aspirants. Please what’s your take? |

Youths can not pilot the affairs of this country. Rather we should rally round outstanding governor's that perform well in their various state. 1 Like |

OBoy50: No we won’t do that. Not after seeing the hardships and sufferings of Nigerians. It’s not s good thing to give up on what we can do collectively as youths. It’s true that they usually mobilize youth. Yes I agree. But can’t the table change? |

Youths need no political party..just organize urselves, one voice, one vision, one mission and good agendas. Carry out "YouthsforYouths campaign" in all levels of elective offices nationwide. End of old politicians and godfatherism. 1 Like 1 Share |

If Igbo youths will be among this movement, count me out |
Re: It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by mrbenjame: 8:44am On Mar 26, 2022 |
SHINJA: It’s ok. Let’s not bring the past grievances to the present. I’m ibo too. But I’m not ignorant of what’s going on among our youths bashing each other because of tribe. Let’s fight this people first. Or should we keep allowing this people destroy us simply because they know we can’t be united for once? I don’t mind if an ibo, Hausa Yoruba and other minority ethnic groups come together to achieve this. It’s not going to be easy but hard way is the only way bro/sis |

Hahaha....you come out every 4 years to make this request. OP, there is already a party for the youths called YPP and their only elected official in the senate is the worst serial debtor to banks in Nigeria.

Vaughanlanrewaj: Chai! This is serious! Do what do we do? Or is it that Nigeria’s problem is still us? What’s the way forward? Young progressive party is different from youth Democratic Party. Because the party will only have maximum of 50 years in the party. Strictly fresh blood and not that animal you posted there. |

Re: It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by Vaughanlanrewaj: 10:39pm On Mar 26, 2022 |
mrbenjame:It takes time, money and committed people to build the kind of structure that wins election. I still remember seeing the poster of young Bola Tinubu, Dr. Awolowo-Dosunmu, etc in 1992 contesting for the Senate. That was 30 years ago yet he has been imprisoned, arrested, charged for treason, insulted, his properties burnt, his wife assaulted, betrayed yet he continued and remained focused. That is character and character is not built in a day. The best advice is for the youths to join politics early, be honest , patriotic, hardworking and give credible alternatives. Salisu was 29 when he was elected speaker, Dimeji Bankole was in his 30s yet both were lacklustre |
Re: It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by mrbenjame: 10:57pm On Mar 26, 2022 |
Vaughanlanrewaj: You have a point about joining politics early. But don’t you think that those days and now ain’t the same? I mean the economy then and the ease of making a living was not as harsh as ours now? Not to talk of having enough to purchase forms? |
Re: It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by Vaughanlanrewaj: 11:21pm On Mar 26, 2022 |
mrbenjame:Hahaha....the 90s are far worse than now. That is why I smh when someone who uses a phone with data will be blaming FG for not giving him electricity to charge it. It was the military era people drink eruku oshodi and dogonyaro leaves. Even if u give people phone, most people will not be able to load it with airtime. There was no entitlement mentality then o. The likes of Dele Giwa were murdered, Olusegun Maiyegun and later his successor,Sowore, as Presidents, ULSU, UNILAG were always on the streets while some Youths even hijacked a plane to make the military leave. That Aluta of this generation where people do activism on twitter and later organize musicians to come and sing to collect egunje from politicians is not obtainable in the 90s so let us just negodu joor. |

mrbenjame:If the intention of the party is toward 2023 election, then it will be useless..You don't form a party with complex people like Nigerians in only less than a year to the general election. |
Re: It’s Time For The Youth To Get A Political Party by mrbenjame: 6:05am On Mar 27, 2022 |
omoharry: You’re absolutely right. I thought about this. But if 2023 won’t work 2027 Will. We can start now. |
