The Super Eagles of Nigeria held the Black Stars of Ghana to a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

A feisty battle, the game lived up to hype as both nations matched each other physically.

The Ghanaians threatened the Nigerian defence on occasions with youngsters Felix Afena-Gyan and Fatawu Issahaku impressing in the game.

Nigeria’s introductions in the game gave fans a direction as to what the team holds from the bench with Emmanuel Dennis, Oghenekaro Etebo, Calvin Bassey and Frank Onyeka all putting up decent showings in the game.

Ghana also looked to have put their AFCON woes behind them as they stood toe to toe against the Nigerians, encouraged by an overpacked stadium in Kumasi.

one thing i can draw from that match is that we dont need a foreign coach for our super eagles ,
the naija team played against a very good side , in front of a such massive support for the black stars over 70,000 ppl packed in that stadium and definitely very few supporters for our super eagles and YET THEY KEPT THEIR NERVES , THEY DIDNT BUCKLE UNDER PRESSURE AND EVEN CREATED 2 SOLID CHANCES , this is very very good . it shows the high caliber of players we have and their high level of experience

only thing we learn is dt African football still av a long way to go....we expected more tactical brilliance from the two biggest team in Africa BT dey kept on playing football like what I do see In national league
