Defense counsels in the petitions filed against the elections of Senator Abubakar Saraki and Senator Simeon Ajibola by the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Mr. John Olushola Baiyeshea (SAN) and Dr. Kayode Olatoke, have called for dismissal of the petitions, describing them as an abuse of court processes. They asked the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ilorin to dismiss the petitions because the petitions didn’t comply with the Electoral Act 2010 as amended.
