Well done bro, this is an insight to show how bad War is and for the young people wishing for war like it's a celebrated or heroic thing to see. I was surprised how well documented the ww2 was, when I watched the 4 parts documentary "Apocalypse: The second World War". You can check it out, if you're willing to see more of this or know more bout the events as it was happening, maybe learn a thing or two.

I have met two prisoner of war survivors.

One elderly man didn't talk about his experience like other elderly man who said "War can't make anyone happy".

But I once heard from him that he appreciate he is alive, he appreciate every day he can eat until he is full, he appreciate every day he can sleep on warm bed etc.

Every day he appreciate everything.

Because when he was a prisoner of war, he said everything he couldn't have it.
He still remembered how much cold and hunger in that time and he can't forget about how much he had very hard time in there.

Everything common for us these days like eating every day until we full, every day taking a bath with hot water, every day sleeping on warm bed etc, are not common for him at that time.

Just alive in peaceful days is very happy things.
He knows that, because of his experience.
That's why he always appreciate everything.

When he talked about it, he kept his smile.
I still remember very well. Very gentle smile.
He never ever said something like grudges.

I have heard some war experience from some elderly peoples both men and women.

Some of them were small kids.
Some of them were soldiers.

Yes, never good.

I don't know what to say.
But I'm gonna try to write my opinion.

Many Japanese peoples, I maybe can say most Japanese peoples empathy for Ukrain and Ukrainian peoples including me.
Very emotional.

But emotions is nothing to war.
Emotions can't stop war.

War is justice vs justice, belief vs belief.
Both side believe what they are doing is right things.
No matter what peoples say or think, What other countries say or think etc, they have very strong belief.
They believe they are right. They are fighting for their justice.

I'm not Ukrainian or Russian.
I don't know much about their society, cultures, politics etc.
I'm not in there. Very difficult to know or understand their real justice or belief.

I read and still trying to know what is background of this war.
But just reading is not enough to know or understand.
Very difficult to know or understand what is truly background and their belief.

To be very honest with you, my emotion is for Japanese elderly peoples at first time when this war started.
Not for Ukrainian peoples or Russian peoples.
I maybe heartless person.
