Where was this tribunal when Dangote hiked cement price?? How about a few weeks ago when fuel sold for as much as N500 a litre?? I really, really-really-really wish a Jerry Rawlings from Nigeria can come and wipe off every single one of these blood sucking vampires that call themselves politicians, their families & enablers! These people have totally destroyed this nation!!angry

When will the Onifade lawyer sue for the president's total package (pay and all benefits in kind) as well as the total package of senators, reps, governors, state lawmakers, LGA chairmen & councillors be reduced to the level of equivalent civil servants on productivity expectations? Anytime soon

They seems to put so much energy when it comes to South Africa owned bussiness. Why hasn't tribunal halted cement and Garri price hike. Poor multichoice

If the energy is on South African businesses as you claimed, I think the effort is worth it.

Do not worry. Action on Garri and Cement will follow soon.

What Nigerian businesses cannot try in their own country.

Mumu judgment, instead of criticising useless economic policies of this administration, you are fighting a firm whose goal is to make profits, stop them from increasing price and watch them liquidate their assets and move out of the country.

Are these people OK? Can they mandate that diesel be sold to multichoice at n400/litre?

Meanwhile all these useless govt parastatals are not belt tightening. They are all in the face of everything doing business as usual

Has the tribunal considered the incessant rising cost of doing business in Nigeria these days. Most business are finding very difficult staying afloat.

I no go better for APC and their evil supporters.

yes cost of business is rising and its important to be sympathetic with these companies. but are salaries increasing as cost of living is increasing? or are consumers immuned from buahris failure? lets look at pure water. any little issue, they go on strike, cause artificial scarcity and increase price. their reason is cost of production. looking at it objectively, what exactly is the cost that goes into production of pure water. they usually say cost of nylon. are they the only ones that use nylon? beverage companies use more expensive materials and more complex and expensive designs on their packaging yet they dont increase prices like pure water. so sometimes, the govt has to wade in with price control to stem some arbitrary price increases which are exploitative

Do you know how much Multichoice is making out of this business? They gave them monopoly over this business to be giving 200,000 000 subscribers without a competitor.

It sounds good but tribunal verdict will surely be appealed and our judicial system can't be trusted.

Is cable TV our problem now?
Let them also cut down the prices of essential commodities too. A hungry man can't watch Startimes cable TV.
Re: Tribunal Stops Multichoice From Increasing Tariffs by GreatAxeMan: 3:12pm On Mar 31, 2022
Multichoice has to pay television rights and royalties for its premium content like the Champions League, La Liga, EPL, Tennis GrandSlams, Formula One etc and they have to pay in dollars.
The dollar is trading at nearly 600 naira and you expect prices to be stagnant?
Nigerians are naturally dumb.

Dshocker:
Na today...if multichoice circulates $100m in bribery, they will still turn the monumentum in favour of multichoice.

Over the years multichoice have used bribing as a means of bringing down every cable tv that ever launched and all have not been able to operate for up to a year, apart from startimes, because it belongs to the government.

Failed state!!!

This is an abuse of Judicial process.

Nigeria, the government and Nigerians need to understand MultiChoice is a private business with a sole aim of making profits.

We always interfere too much in its operations.

Why we don't have such attitude of interfere with Customs Duties that's exorbitant and increasing weekly.
Why is the government and the Judiciary not allowing injuctions to stop power companies and the regulators from constantly increasing electricity tarrifs every 6 months.

NASS salaries go up every 3 months for the past 24 years. Nobody created tribunal to prevent that.

If dstv subscription is to expensive, there is no national compulsion to watch dstv. Watch YT or NTA

Inflation is bitting hard, make federal government self look into better policies that will reduce the cost of productions.

Common sense... they expect prices to remain the same when diesel is around 750! Denying facts seems to be APC's forte...
