A better Nigeria is all we want @. .

Nigeria must succeed.

The fingers you use in typing supposed to be paining you once in a while sef. You keep saying you want a better Nigeria yet you're vehemently supporting a government that keep ensuring that the opposite is happening everyday.

You're definitely one of the troublers of Nigeria and time will deal with you!

The first blunder was to have engaged Russia out of all countries of the world to build Ajaokuta Steel Complex project. From 1979 to 2023, the company hasn't produced a sheet of metal. Now, the baton has been passed to next government.

And worst of all, the official position of Nigeria on Russia-Ukraine war is that Russia should pull out. It is possible President Putin has used the copy of the agreement he signed with Buhari to smoke weed.

Are the Russians also responsible for Aladja? Mumu. Was America or UK ready to help us and we rejected the offer? History must be brought back into our curriculum

Is it possible to bring in other parties like Chinese or India since the steel complex was constructed by Russians? How would they know how the steel structure there was built?

What was wrong in engaging Russia to build ajaokuta steel? Is it because of the Russians that the company hasn't produced any steel?

wink2015:
Nigeria voted in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA ) against Russian government occupation of Ukraine in the on going war between Russia and Ukraine.

It was quite sensible for the federal government to take a neutral position or just abstain from voting but the federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari foolishly voted against Russia our business partner in the rehabilitation of the moribund Ajaokuta steel.

Now Russia will want to single out Nigeria as parts of those unfriendly countries.

Neutrality was best for Nigeria government to adopt but the federal government out of ignorance and illadvice missed the opportunity to stay neutral in the Russian vs Ukraine conflicts.

NIGERIA IS EVEN AN ASTUTE MEMBER OF THE NON ALIGNED COUNTRIES ALONG SIDE INDIA.

Today as I am speaking India is buy cheap crude from Russia in defiance of the west that imposed economic sanctions on Russia.

Developer of Nigeria's foreign policies should learn to take position that secures Nigeria' economic and security future

The same useless Nigeria voted for NATO to invade Libya guess what? Arms started crossing into Nigeria and the US refused to sell weapons.

It's only Nigeria that does same thing multiple times and expects a different result.

Re: Olamilekan Adegbite: FG Unlikely To Fix Ajaokuta Steel As Planned by Awoleesu(m): 8:20am On Apr 01, 2022
There's a big problem of public distrust against this government, and sadly Buhari is aware but indifferent towards this!

If you want to test the weight of the burden of this distrust, have Russia issue the same statement informing us they couldn't complete the Ajaokuta project as planned due to same reasons are alluded by Olamilekan, and watch Nigerians believe Russia against their own government!

This insensitivity and lack of interest in building solid trust between the government and citizens is the bane of leadership in Nigeria...

Sadly, it's not getting any better soon!

They gave the contract to Russia because Russia supplied Nigeria a lot of weapons and technical assistance during the Nigerian Biafra civil war, the result was that more than 3million ethnic Igbos were brutally killed by the Nigerian government.
Funny enough, alot of Igbos still support Russia.
