This is a position in one of our clients’ ICT multinational company with its head office located in Lagos Nigeria, for supporting projects carried out for Principal institutions across west Africa, particularly in the finance industry. The incumbent of this position will be a staff member of our said client under its full responsibility.
The IT Financial Accountant will carry out his/her tasks within the company, which provides services to support the management of financial transactions with customers and agents.

Under the overall supervision of the Company Board of Directors, the incumbent reports to the Company Managing Director and by reference to ICT Finance Rules and Regulations, the ICT Financial Accountant will be assigned responsibilities within the Infrastructure Technology Information Systems (ITIS) ICT Financial Management process in relation the Service Strategy of the Company business. The ICT Financial Management responsibilities will entail: IT Budgeting, IT Accounting (Activity Based Costing) and IT Accounting. The incumbent, in accordance with the ITIS Framework and in compliance the ISO 20000, will ensure that the ITIS ICT Financial Management process remains fully integrated with the other ITIS processes in order for the overall IT Service Management Framework to operate in the effective and efficient manner in the provision of valued services to the Principal Institutions.

The role of the ICT Financial Accountant will be to:

1. Manage the budget for ICT services on daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis in accordance to overall program priorities;
2. Gather IT costs and IT OPEX/CAPEX budget data;
3. Assist in the development of IT cost models for IT activities and service items;
4. Assist in the preparation and in the development of IT Business Cases and Cost Benefit Analysis for IT projects;
5. Provide recommendations and corrective actions to balance incomes on cost recovery basis and expenditure in line with the budget;
6. Assist with IT audits;
7. Analyse and break down IT infrastructures into cost components and categories;
8. Report on proposed expenditure items within ICT services provided to all customers;
9. Capture all costs related to ICT services;
10. Provide regular statement for accounts and reports that support ICT management decisions;
11. Conduct ad-hoc performance and IT Financial analysis on request from Top management and business Partners;
12. Assist in the development of IT account plans and investments cases when needed by Top management;
13. Report regularly on budget conformance to Top management;
14. Provide close support to Service Level, Availability, Capacity and IT Service Continuity management processes during budgeting and IT investment planning;
15. Assist in the production of IT financial plans in line with business planning cycles, identifying financial needs early enough to accommodate procurements and approval lead times;
16. Participate in Change Control meetings to assess and authorize changes from an IT Financial perspective;
17. Conduct periodic internal audits of IT financial performance;
18. Assist with external audits of IT financial performance when requested by other corporate organizations and government authorities;
19. Ensure IT charges and billings are accurate and truly reflect the services delivered;
20. Perform other duties as required.

Education:
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related discipline.
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s degree) in combination with an additional four (4) years qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
• A chartered accountant from a globally recognised professional body.

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of relevant (international) Financial, budgeting or costing experience in an ICT organisation is preferred.
• Knowledge and working experience with ICT industry rules and regulations is desirable.
• Knowledge of the ERP (enterprise resource planning), a software that manages a company's financials, supply chain, operations, commerce, reporting, manufacturing, and human resource activities is desirable.
• Ability to lead, build and sustain effective work relationship with subordinates and peers to achieve common goal.
• Understanding of West African financial environment, policies, and coordination mechanisms is desirable.
• Ability to effectively manage and work in a multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical and planning skills, ability to build a positive and strong team spirit with staff;
Language:
1. Excellent knowledge of English (both written and oral).
2. Knowledge of another universal language (French) considered to be a benefit.
