1. Purchase food and drinks in bulk to save money and avoid middlemen.

Food is sold in bulk and at extremely low prices in Lagos markets such as Yaba, Mile 2, and many others. Rather than handing over a large sum to your caterers to purchase these items, go ahead and do it yourself. Purchase beverages and bottled water at wholesale prices. When you’re finished, take an inventory of everything you bought and then hand the food over to the caterers to prepare themselves. You will save a lot of money this way.

2. To save money on decorations, select a wedding-ready venue.

Rather than attempting to decorate a large hall with few chairs, rent a wedding-ready venue. After renting everything that the venue requires, the rental costs may exceed those of a ready-made venue. Do you also know that a low-cost wedding venue with a beautiful setting and lighting will make your photos and videos look professional?
Reduce the number of guests to match your budget.

Some of the instructions you can give for your wedding are that a friend should not invite a friend unless they are dating, that no children should be invited, and that no siblings should be invited. Allow the number of guests to correspond to your budget so that you can provide for them.

3. Purchase a simple wedding cake.

There is no need to reserve a million-dollar cake. Put that energy into the food, my guests. As long as it is properly decorated, a simple cake will suffice. Amazing cakes with good taste and at a low cost can still be found. Besides, everyone is cutting back on sugar these days, so don’t overdo it. A 2-3 tier cake, on the other hand, will suffice

How about going to church, invite 30 people max to witness. Snap all pictures with dummy cake and rented apparels. Give the 30 people small bag with jotter inside.

OR

Sell tickets to the wedding. Regular, VIP, VVIP. No ticket no entry. As in shows, each ticket comes with souvenir and refreshment. No need to spray money or buy gifts for the couples, attendees should buy as many tickets as they can afford to support the couple. This is for organised people sha, Nigerians like doing their things any how.
