Please I need your urgent advice. The old passport I used in the past to obtain USA student F1 visa expires in May 05, 2022. Now, I am about to renew my visa and I have got a new passport.
1. I made the payment for the renewal with the new passport number.
2. I filled and submitted DS-160 application form with the new passport number.
3. However, my profile through which to book an appointment has the old passport number which I cannot edit.
4. I am aware of the warnings that the passport number of the profile, passport data page, and DS-160 must be the same.
5. I contacted the embassy through support@ustraveldocs.com and I was asked to provide a support document on "provide feedback" through my profile. Then, I sent a scanned copy of my new passport bio-data page to the embassy through my profile.
Up till now, I have not been able to edit my old passport number to reflect the new passport number.
Should I go ahead and book an appointment with my profile still bearing the old passport number? Please advise me! Thanks
