Please I need your help. I have been trying to source for PTA from the bank for 3 days!!! The Form A we have to fill on the trade system website isnt seamless at all and I have not been able to get it done. The website keeps saying I have exceeded the limit for this quarter and I havent left seen the airport in 2022!

Please please, I will take any help as I was so frustrated today I almost cried in the bank while trying to fill the form there too. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot.

That's a system error with the portal which many people have been encountering.

How a country's national bank can put up a shitty portal as that with no way to modify or edit entries beats my imagination.

They are always quick to want to digitalize processes without first getting the ground works properly sorted.

To help you get around the issue:

Go to your bank, the very one you chose to receive your funds through.

Tell them the portal duplicated your applications and as such has barred you from applying for this quarter and in the red already.

Ask for them to help you cancel such applications and revert your limit to zero.

Ensure to follow up with your bank to complete the cancellation because it takes several steps (two to three, I think) to get it cancelled. It is exactly the same steps taken in the approval stage that needs to be taken for cancellation.

As a bonus, when re-applying, ensure to have a strong network, preferably, do it from a business center or a desktop and not your phone. Use Google chrome and upon submission, do not refresh or continue clicking even when it says your form wasn't successfully submitted. That's where the duplication of entries originated from.

Should your bank want to play a hard one on you, insist on seeing the manager and the ADB supervisor for the branch to help you cancel the entry with your AF application number...

What bank is that?

They sure can, they probably don't understand the drift or are just unwilling to help.

Try a different branch.

It is actually their duty to do so.

Nigeria sha. If you knew someone in that bank na one hand dem go sort your case.

It is well.

Actually the bank can't rectify that glitch from inputter's end. What you can do is to visit the site again and cancel the applications and then resubmit it with a strong network like someone suggested.

Yes I did today. Had to delete the erroneous application and apply afresh with very strong internet connection. After that, the whole process was seamless and my bank was a very good help.

Pls guys, how do you apply for PTA with Access bank, do you go to any of their branches online or is there a portal where you have to fill? Thanks

I am so sorry I'm just seeing this now.

Someone assisted me in deleting and re-applying for the PTA. You have to ensure that there is good network as that website is very glitchy on its own. All the best.

Madam, just go to the airport on the day u are traveling and change your money and save urself from this stress although is going to be little bit high compare to the banks.

And don’t ever risk it by using black market
