But he won the APOY that your amokachi and okocha couldn’t win

So did Adebayo

Did it make them better players than Okocha and Amokachi?

That's true.

I was in the stadium and was very angry with his bicycle mis-kicks. Very annoying. He needed to have calmed down a bit he would have gotten the desired result. Ikpeba was very very correct & spot on. Osimhen should learn, receive concrete criticism.

If Only Victor Osimhen could remember that Victor ikpeba was once named the Prince of Monaco i his days, based on his outstanding performance, aside he supposed to be mentor to Osimhen and as such right every right to critized him

You wouldn't have said it any better. I am not a big fan or admirer of Osimhen's style of play but definitely won't disregard talent and grace. However, it is quite glaring how much Osimhen lacks respect and he is so full of himself. His social media accounts are his to use anyhow he desires but while some use theirs professionally and even commercially, well, keep it up Vic.
Yeah, you are lucky to be where you are but where you are isn't the highest height and level that a Nigerian player has ever been. If that is what is "shacking your head",ogbeni calm down ehn. Pride goes before a fall, we all know.. Ikpeba made a good point, not disputing his talent, zeal, passion, drive etc., but questioning his decision making at certain times in the match which was not a wrong thing to do. Osimhen is still learning his trade and he needs the counsel and advices of legends like Ikpeba. I am sure he would have kept quiet if it was his Napoli coach that made that criticism.

Osimhen sef. No be everything you go reply to. He was one of our better players against Ghana, but in the world of football, you have to learn to take criticisms. It just reminded me of the day Yakubu missed a sitter at the World Cup and we all wanted Yakubu's head. Football is a very emotional sport.

Osimhen should have chested that ball, trapped it, and smashed it into the net. Or held unto it and drawn a penalty.

The bicycle kick was an unnecessary risk, since such goals are very difficult to score.

Have you heard of Roy Keane? Graeme Souness? Those guys hardly gets impressed by any player and they always criticize players, Roy Keane has blasted Fred and Maguire many times but have you heard they replied back or throw insults? As a professional player, the only way to silence your critiques is by proving them wrong and not by ranting on Twitter

No dey reason we'll.. So as a football pundit ur job is to start insult players?

Do u even listen to epl pundits during half time ; I don't think so because if u do u will understand what it is!

Nigerians love Ikpeba for his contribution to the National team and the Olympic Team

Love cannot be bought
In the Olympic Semi final in 1996
We played against Brazil.
Before that Brazil had already beaten us 1-0 at the Group stage
Thanks to a goal from Ronaldo de Lima

In the Semi final game we were 3-1 down at 77 mins and many had given up hope
Brazil believed they had won as did many Nigerians. Some people abandoned the game and woke up the next day to discover Nigeria equalized and won the game by a golden goal
First Ikpeba scored at 78 minutes to make it 3-2 and Kanu equalized in the 90th minute. and scored the golden goal

Kanu was the star of the game but Ikpeba's 78 minute goal made a difference and gave hope.

For those not old enough to remember go and look for that game on You Tube

Look at Ikpeba's goal against Brazil
This was a Brazil team with Ronaldo, Bebeto, Rivaldo, Dida, Ze Maria, Ze Elias and Conceciao.

That is what a Nigerian team should look like they played with confidence and were dominant

Of course Kanu's Golden goal was just out of this world. One of my sweetest football moments ever

When this generation actually achieve something then they will earn the right to talk
