*Is there a way to extract data from a never booting system?*

I was working on my system yesterday night , midway into using it , it briefly displayed some programming jargons and shut down. Since then it won't boot past the logo display interface ,it as well displayed a dark screen at a point .

The Sad thing about the situation is that I have my project on it - all the 5 chapters.

Any solutions.

How much does it costs for repair. Don't want to be cheated.

Look for an external hard disk connector, remove your hard disk from your system, connect with the connector and connect to another system to access your file. Select the "user" folder, all your files should be there.

Alternatively, take it to a laptop technician to help copy out the files. This is if the hard disk is still accessible. I did one today.
