Dangote's 650,000bbl refinery was estimated to cost $9bn at inception in 2013.
That was about N1.3trn using 2013 exchange rates or N2.5trn using an average exchange rate of N280/$ over the years.

By contrast Buhari admin wants to spend N4trn this year alone on subsidy?

Money that could have been used to set up rice and wheat farms or a mobile phone factory.

Peter Obi for President first. Happy Sunday. Go Church. If not, you die in that state, you go to hell.

It's heartbreaking what they've done to this country.
The people I pity the most in all of thiis are the ordinary Niger delta people.

But what did Obi do in Anambra to merit our votes?
In what way did he turn Anambra around especially industrially? How is he different from Tinubu and the other thieves? Was his name not on a certain paper on offshore stashing away of money?

In 2021, the cost of bringing in one liter of fuel was around N230. Subsidy costs were around N1 trillion-2trillion

Now, due to rising oil prices, the cost of bringing in one liter of fuel is nearly N350 , if not more. And rising due to the current crisis in Ukraine throwing uncertaninty into the market.

Subsidy costs rose accordingly.

I don't like Buhari, but his government wanted to remove the subsidy....which means they save that N4 trillion. But Nigerians want to buy fuel below N200...so here we are.

Same reason why GEJ wanted to remove subsidy, and why Obasanjo and many others wanted to remove subsidy. When the cost of refining petrol rises due to high cost of crude oil.....the cost of subsidsing it rises.

Spending N4 trillion makes a lot of sense.

Buhari at least now sees why past governments wanted the subsidy gone. But he can't remove it...Nigerians like you love it so.

Amsure you would now say that government should build refineries, and they should. But the fact is, they cannot because the money they would have used to build refineries is being spent on subsides. Always has been

In 2010, GEJ signed two contracts that would have by now given us 6 refineries. Subsidy is why those refinery contracts have not seen the light of day. Subsidy means that investors won't get return on investment. Dangote that is building his refinery is taking a big risk.

There are more by the way.

Then about the Pandora propaganda, I really can't type it but there are numerous articles where he explained that and some renowned economists did too. Please try to find and read for a very broad view on the subject.

Note: those weren't stolen government monies but his personal monies he worked for and earned legitimately outside the country (he has chains of businesses outside Nigeria).

A general summary of his tenure as governor though is before his coming, Anambra was more of a pariah state, just as Nigeria is today. He worked and saved up the funds that would give Anambra a breath of life as it is.

In education, Anambra became number one because of his investment in education. This man equipped hospitals in Anambra and have always done his treatments and check up in Anambra. You can confirm for yourself.

Nigeria needs a president that can replicate what he did, plug waste and invest in education, health care and SMEs. During his time and upon leaving, Anambra had the best road network in the country. Communities were all linked by good roads. Despite all he did, upon leaving office, he managed to save over ₦75 billion in banks and over $500m in assets and investments for the state, despite reducing taxation on citizens and chasing off revenue thugs off the streets.

Ever asked yourself why 8 years after his tenure, he's never had any issues with the EFCC? It wasn't for lack of trying to nail him you must know. There is NOTHING to nail him with!

Maybe we could have a discussion maybe on zoom, if you need further explanation cos typing is hard for me lol

Don't even bother explaining. If you ever think that moniker don't know the truth or what he is doing, then, you are naive. He is just the regular Tinubu supporter subtly trying to put the tag of 'we are all corrupt and thesame' on peter obi
