A former militant warlord, Josiah Oyakonghan, also known as Oyimi, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should prepare to hand over to former President Goodluck Jonathan.


Oyakonghan, who is a former warlord of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, MEND, said Nigerians can trust only Jonathan to solve their problems.

According to the ex-militant leader, “We, therefore, use this Easter celebration to urge Nigerians to continue to support Buhari’s administration for him to deliver on the promise of change we are committed to seeing, and also work for Jonathan to return to the Villa.

“We urge Buhari to work for Jonathan’s candidacy who will salvage our country and reawaken a new hope for national cohesion and development.


“President Buhari should therefore support GEJ for president for a new dawn in our country. Virtually every facet of our national life needs urgent attention and GEJ is the answer.”

There has been calls that Goodluck Jonathan should contest for the Presidency in 2023.

GEJ is the reason that PMB came to power. PMB contested against other candidates several times and failed. He would have continued failing, if GEJ had improved the quality of governance. For those always preaching that GEJ was the best, compare the actual economic indices in govts of Military, OBJ and Yardua with that of GEJ, you will realised that GEJ was a total failure, if you aren't biased in your analysis. The same indices are worse now because GEJ's failure provided a worse failure like PMB with ingredients of propaganda which he used to deceive the people into voting him. Nigeria doesn't need GEJ, Atiku, Tinubu, Peter obi and others, the current system is designed to destroy the most dynamic, efficient and effective candidate. What Nigeria needs now is an interim govt where all interest groups, not politicians or religious leaders, will decide on the next line of action for the country.

They are full of confusion, and they want to drag him into it, just to give him the last political RIP.
