Orode Uduaghan, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, believes that women are crucial to any nation’s economic development. 

She said, "By empowering women through policies that improve access to education, access to market opportunities, finance, and quality healthcare, we encourage development for everyone." Research shows that when women benefit from economic empowerment, resources tend to cascade in a way that has a positive impact on their households and communities.

By promoting economic empowerment for women, we create platforms for sustainable development. 

My life’s work has centered on this idea, and I am honored to have supported thousands of remarkable women in building the foundations of their own work as architects of society. "When we fail to accord honor, respect, and dignity to women, our society’s structure is under threat of collapse," she said.

We should honor women who pave the way for others, who are resilient in the face of bias, who wrestle against injustice at every level, and who continue to advocate for the progress of communities.
