Hi everyone, I just picked up a Nissan Primera 2.0 LX and I found out that the catalyst has been removed. I hope it will not have advers effect on the car? Is there anything I can do as an alternative to the catalyst. What exactly is the function of the catalyst. Thanks for your prompt response. |

Hi, Not to worry. It is not an essential part of the car. It serves to remove harmful molecules/compounds/toxins from the exhaust fumes thereby reducing CO2 levels. It must have been removed for the rare metal. Damn thieves!  |
