Role: Logistics Officer



Location: Jos

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost effective way. Oversees the distribution and transportation of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer.



Responsibilities

·         Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests

Track orders to ensure timely deliveries
Prepare shipping documents (like invoices and dispatch waybill)
Coordinate our supply chain procedures in the warehouse to maximize quality of delivery
Maintain updated records of orders, suppliers, and customers
Support the warehouse manager who oversee the levels of our warehouse stock and place orders as needed.
Provide information to customers about the status of their orders
Ensure customers receives their products in a timely manner and good condition
Sort out goods damaged in transit and inform responsible people on returns.
Ensuring timely receipt and posting of proof of delivery.
Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager.




Education/Knowledge, Skills, Attributes, Experience & Other Requirements

A Degree with three (3) years’ Experience in data mining, analysis and reporting, Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management), Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases and ERP systems (Navision)
