You might be surprised to learn that the Bible doesn't mention specific clothing items, such as dresses, pants or skirts. Rather, the Bible emphasizes that people should dress in ways that are not offensive to others (1 Timothy 2:9-10; 1 Peter 3:3-4). This includes wearing clothing that is appropriate for one's gender (Deuteronomy 22:5) as well as clothing that is appropriate for one's social class (1 Timothy 2:9).

How does this apply today? Just because the Bible does not give a list of garments women can and cannot wear does not mean it has nothing to say about how women should dress. The biblical principles mentioned above still apply. For example, dressing so that your body is revealed in a provocative way may be offensive to some and could cause someone to stumble (1 Corinthians 8:13). In addition, a woman should not wear men's clothes or vice versa.

Biblical clothing was very different depending on one’s social status and culture. There were several different classes of people in biblical times. The rich, the poor and slaves. In general people wore the clothing they could afford, because there were no charity shops or welfare grants to fall back on if you had nothing.

1. But you made no actually mention of laws given by God or Jesus Christ to His followers as far as the subject is concerned. Followers of Jesus Christ, for example, are those called by God to Trust and obey the teachings(and commandments) of Jesus Christ. So what you should look for are commandments given by Jesus Christ regarding this. undecided

2. Obviously no one is called to following the cultures of Men. undecided
