Looks like a legit internal communications from LAPO. While the SMS itself might be a scam, people should know sharing such internal communication is a violation of data privacy and Nigerian law. See names and emails of some people there.

That mild grammatical error there which I am sure so many people will miss is what makes the entire message a scam.

Most scammers will definitely make one slight grammatical error in one place or another.

I have trained my eyes to spot such.

I got exactly the same message but to call a certain vivian. I called her and was told to visit the branch where i reside. I remember applying for the nyif loan in early last year and i remember choosing lapo as one of aggregator or trainer. So i clearly think its not a scam.

Well observed, I didn't even get to that point, but immediately I saw you have been selected, I lost interest, cos who selected me when I didn't apply for anything of such. At that point I knew it was a scam

Did you apply for it?

If not then it's definitely a scam!

Why would they even ask you to call a number instead of asking you to present yourself at the nearest branch of the bank undecided
