²⁸ So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
²⁹ For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
³⁰ For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
³¹ For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
³² This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

The great mystery behind sex is that two becomes one.

In our elementary school, we were taught taught that 1 + 1=2. However in any sexual relationship, 1 + 1=1. When a man joins himself sexually with a woman, they become one both physically and spiritually.

This is indeed a great mystery, how two different individuals, from two different backgrounds, become one flesh through sexual intercourse. The story of Adam and Eve can help us understand this mystery better.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
— Genesis 1:27

When God created Adam, He made him as a single person. However, the Bible said God created Adam alongside with Eve. This simply meant that Eve already existed inside Adam in creation. We see this clearly when God removed a vital part of Adam to create Eve:

²¹ And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
²² And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
²³ And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

So the first 'surgery' was performed by God. In a miraculous way He removed a rib from Adam's side and used it to create a woman. How God did this, we can't tell, but it shows how delicate a woman is as she was created with something very sensitive unlike dust in the case of Adam.

Because Eve was taken out of his body, Adam called Eve 'bones of my bones and flesh of my flesh' In a nutshell, Adam was saying, 'she's a big part of me. We are inseparable'.

God's ultimate plan for marriage, is that two becomes one. This is a reason why God hates divorce and forbids remarriage unless a partner dies.

When Adam first had sex with Eve, the bible says:

And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
— Genesis 4:1

The Bible didn't say that Adam laid with his wife or uncovered her unclothedness, it said he 'knew' her. The word 'knew' connotes sexual intimacy in a godly way. When a man sleeps with his wife, he knows her like Adam knew Eve.

The word 'knew' was also a consummation of their oneness. Yes, they were one, but Adam needed to have sex with Eve to complete their oneness. God planned sex in such a way to enable a man cleave to his wife for a lifetime. Sexual intimacy is meant to completely join a man and woman together as one flesh in marriage and produce children.

The great mystery behind sex is that it completely unites a man and woman as one flesh. If more people understood this truth, they would be very careful about their sexual relationships.

Below are the two reasons why a lot of peopler get themselves into serious bondage when they practice sex outside marriage:

1. The ungodly soul ties they form.

When two people have sex outside marriage, they form unhealthy soul ties between themselves. Soul ties are meant to emotionally/spiritually bind people together, especially through sex in marriage. However, these soul ties can become very destructive outside marriage.

These ungodly soul ties introduces sexual demons. We generally call these demons 'spiritual wife or husband'. These demons are extremely jealous of their human spouses and they sponsor financial stagnation, infertility and inability to get married. A major reason why we have so many matured singles is because they are married spiritually.

2. The irresistible pleasures they derive from it.

Sexual pleasure is exclusively meant for marriage. It is meant to keep a man and woman together as one in marriage for as long as possible.

If sexual intimacy wasn't pleasurable, most people wouldn't indulge much in it, legitimately husband and wives. God in His wisdom made it very pleasant to ensure the continuity of humanity via marriage.

There is a device we call shock absorber in cars. It is meant to reduce the pressure of bad roads on a vehicle. Similarly, sex in marriage can help reduce pressures in marriage as long as both partners love each other and are working for the success of their marriage.

When young people like the teens in the Chrisland school sex tape saga involve them selves continually in sexual pleasures outside marriage, it brings a very strong addiction. More and more young people are finding themselves addicted to fornication because it's so pleasurable and they can't understand why God will make sex so pleasant and give them sexual desires at the same time.

However the Bible says:

Neither give place to the devil.
— Ephesians 4:27

Any sex outside marriage will give place to the devil. A lot of youths are secretly carrying serious demonic oppressions because of their loose sexual lifestyles.

Many youths are battling with acute depression, inferiority complex, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, witchcraft attacks, drunkenness, restlessness, curses, backwardness, terrible nightmares, chronic failures, poverty, etc. To mention a few.

To summarize:

1. God created man to be one with his wife in marriage.

2. This oneness is consummated by sex in marriage.

3. Sex outside marriage is dangerous because it contradicts God's purpose of oneness in marriage.

4. God intended sexual pleasures only for marriage. Unfortunately many single youths today are on self_destruction because of this pleasure.
