Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President, Mr. Olumide Akpata is set to traditionally wed his heartthrob, Miss Osayamon Ogbebor Michelle, come May 14, 2022.

In a SAVE THE DATE flier sighted by TheNigeriaLawyer, Akpata had stated that he popped the question “after a bit of dithering” and his partner said “Yes!”

Who is Osayamon?

Osayamon Michelle May Ogbebor is from the influential Ogbebor Family of Bini Kingdom, Edo State. She obtained Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the Queen Mary University of London in December 2017 and a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B) from the University of Essex.

Osayamon is currently a top executive and the Financial Markets Legal Adviser at the Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc.

CSCS is Nigeria’s Central Securities Depository (CSD) licensed to carry on the depository, clearing and settlement of all transactions in the Nigerian Capital Market. As the country’s premier Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI), CSCS processes securities in electronic book-entry form, ensuring safe and efficient transaction processing within the ecosystem whilst also pioneering innovative solutions to deepen and enhance the efficient functioning of the market.

Osayamon has served in the Legal, Company Secretariat and Compliance Services Directorate for almost three years.

While the traditional marriage is scheduled to hold in the spouse’s compound at Ekenwan Road, Benin, Edo State on May 14, 2022 the reception holds at Air Force Military Base, Airport Road, Benin, Edo State.

Meanwhile, the couple will be joined in holy matrimony on October 2, 2022 in far-away Mauritius.

When contacted Akpata on the news, he was yet to respond at press time.
