This is Good Making unrealistic demands when their wards are in foreign universities and private schools. We are been discouraged in the University and not being motivated, we know what these lecturers tells us everyday, pathetic words even worse than the Indian and Chinese tell their Nigerian Employees, little wonder why many graduates are not innovative. Let's see how they sustain the strike for 3 months without salaries, they want to eat their cake and have it at the expense of students. Iffa hear say I no resume school by July, Warning Strike my foot. Just because the government is corrupt doesn't mean you should be corrupt too, to be a good example is a Herculean task for Nigerian Lecturers, them just dae use church cover up. Useless ASSU and it's stupid lecturers. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

uniquelyspecial:are you ASUU? Do you people reason at all? Or the moment you hate a Govt. Then every issue will be against the Govt. Even when it's not the govts fault. Why? I can never be cool with ASUU for frustrating students for selfish gains. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Miracle2022: 70 billion to how many people? For how much owed? Is it not shameful that a prof. at the peak of his career is earning less than 500k in a country where a senator earns N38m a month? Is it not shameful that the University system in Nigeria can no longer attract lecturers even from Togo and Benin? Is it not shameful that the ruling class in Nigeria are sleeping well when the University system is almost shut down? Of course, that can only be Nigeria. Please get your facts right and show empathy in this imbroglio. 8 Likes 1 Share |

tellsblinks: You don't know what you're talking about. Because if you do you wouldn't be spouting nonsense. UTAS is 1000% reliable. the problem is that Politicians, university administrators and the individuals behind IPPIS won't be able to insert names of to cash out. The figure used by the IPPIS Cabal is our beloved minister of communication. Even the betrayal of the chairman under duress won't stop UTAS. We won't let the University education die without a fight. 6 Likes |

Enskynelson:Drop the name of the Federal University. I am a student of a Federal University too, I won't insult you because you are my elder and I was trained well. Lecturers live above their means and you would even wonder if they receive same pay as Chevron workers, imagine people agitating for a better salary when they don't come to class and not even impact knowledge on student. I can't DM you, I don't want to be insulted more than I have received here. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Proton99:this is a lie from the pit of hell.... A corrupt ASUU want to fight dirty. Lol .... Ok hunger will kill all of you. Useless people, every year they FG is owning ASUU, every year strike upon strike, is ASUU the only union in Nigeria? The 70 Billion where did ASUU save the money? In your pockets? You can not be allowed to hold our Government to ransome with your unrealistic demands and unending demand every year thereby frustrating our students and educational system. If I was Buhari I will start sacking all of you criminals. Look the Nigerian populace are becoming tired of ASUU and we are tilting to the side of the Govt. Buhari's govt might be bad , but ASUU is a cancer in our educational system. Every successive Govt. Is owing ASUU. Why? 11 Likes 1 Share |

Steinmann:hmm, not in the academic system, how do you become a phd holder or professor without learning from those above you , its not as easy as you think, besides you can never compare a fresh graduate lecturer with a senior one, eventually that department will lose accreditation because you need to have a minimum requirement in academic cadre to produce graduates. except you want to pay expatriates that you obviously cannot afford. 6 Likes |

Fuckyoumod: Have you asked yourself what happened to public primary and secondary schools? Why do you think parents no longer enroll their children in these schools again? Why are parents sending their children to private schools for primary and secondary education even though teachers in public elementary schools don't go on strike? I guess according to your postulation the teachers killed these schools too? If ASUU did not fight the way they are fighting these useless governments, our public Universities will soon become dead like their primary and secondary school counterparts. If you think ASUU is frustrating our students and killing our educational system just go to your University and check again all the buildings, lecture halls, research centres, facilities and vehicles with the inscription "TETFUND PROJECT...." That is one of the by product of ASUU strike. If you don't know, this government once proposed a school fees of 500,000 for public University students. ASUU outrightly reject the offer because many students will not be able to afford it and will eventually dropout of school. I can go on and on but let me pause here. ASUU would not have been going on strike frequently like this if they want to be selfish by fighting for their welfare alone. However, they have decided to make sure that Nigerian Universities do not die like their primary and secondary school counterparts. 7 Likes 1 Share |

papadoculus: Last strike was almost a year, they didn't pay them. They just added the amount owed to their list of requests insisting if government don't pay, they won't resume. The government had to start paying 2-3 months salary at once to cover up the unpaid once plus resolving other issues. That's the only way the strike was called off. In summary, no work no pay only work on other unions. But you see those lewandoskis (ASUU); when they decide to go on strike (indefinite strike), they strike till the very end (NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER). Thank God na warning strikes. 4 Likes 1 Share |
