Kenneth10110: Very good question. It's not as if their state governments are owing them. I can't understand the rationale behind it |

It is disheartening that Nigeria as a nation in the 21st century still finds itself in this undeserving rot in the education system orchestrated by two unlikely associates. (ASUU and FG) It is a known fact that this deliberate incessant strike could have been avoided but it will not since is beneficial to both the FG and their abettor ASUU. It is should be known that these Nigeria university lecturers derived joy in declaring a strike at a slim opportunity just because they have nothing to lose instead, they have a lot to gain as some of them see a strike as an opportunity to take on part-time jobs in private universities with full assurance that their salary will be paid by FG irrespective of the duration that the strike takes. The people in power on the other side have nothing to lose either as their children are busy graduating every day from the UK, and American universities as well some private Universities in Nigeria. The interest of students who pays the supreme price is never important as these students end up spending long years in the university compared to their rich counterparts studying in western nations, as a result, they will be rigged out of juicy job placement and the opportunity to become future leaders is completely erased based on Age, Financial, Platform, and Background. In the light of the above, It should be known that both Nigeria universities lecturers and FG are anti-poor youth in nature both should never be trusted as your future as students don't matter to these lecturers as long as they keep having long vacations with their humongous salaries and the people in power keep removing tomorrow's stumbling blocks (poor children) from their children partway to juicy leadership positions. This should be a wake-up call to every public university student that they have been robbed of their future by the same people that they vote Into power with their accomplices in the ivory towers of knowledge. They are both deliberate and meticulous in their efforts and approach to rendering youths incapacitated by limiting their abilities to compete favorably against the rich kids whose fathers lavished our national cake on to attend private or Uk universities to attain a certain height considered desirable. Their style has always been that mockery, "youth are the leaders of tomorrow" that tomorrow is now. They told you education is the key to success, against all odds you went to school only for you to realize at the end that the padlock has been changed by this unlikely associate. Youth wake up and match for your true liberation and freedom against a rigged system designed by politicians and their accomplices whose true intention is to make you worst off and make their children better off. |

Munamoqel:that federal government has decided not to pay attention to this ASUU issue doesn't mean a day will not come when their demand will not be looked into. And by then all this drop out schools might not be able to benefit from it. In as much this strike has done more harm than good let still hope for the good of this struggle 1 Like |
