As Amosun Declares for Presidency, Olatorera Majekodunmi-Oniru Stands Forward To Represent Ogun Central In Senate 2023

Senate Aspirant, Princess Olatorera Majekodunmi-Oniru is an Egba descendant of the popular Majekodunmi family. She married in 2012 to Prince Adedapo Oniru of the Oniru Royal Family with a grand ceremony in Abeokuta, Ogun Central. Starting in the last quarter of 2021, Majekodunmi-Oniru was the very first contender for the Ogun Central Senate seat, to come out and portray strong interest and full dedication to represent the district in 2023. Many journalists asked "Can you unseat Amosun?" and in less than a month to the primaries, Senator Ibikunle Amosun vacated the seat himself as he declared a run for Presidency instead. The seat, now ready for a new leader, has a woman at the forefront of the All Progressives Congress Party lineup.

Majekodunmi-Oniru recently shared the second edition of her vision and policies manifesto in a media meeting. A letter in the manifesto read:
"Dear Nigerians, Home & Diaspora,
I am working for us and fully ready to represent Ogun Central Senatorial District in the Upper Chamber of our National Assembly. Primaries are set for May 18th 2022 and General Elections February 18th 2023. Our push for Greater Nigeria will be achieved, one great leader elected after another. We will advocate and establish strong laws and institutions with checks and balances to propel our developing economy with every citizen well accounted for."

She continued "Together, we will push our dreams of Greater Nigeria, starting yesterday, starting now. Together, we will achieve Greater Nigeria, with each passing day, each passing election. Greater Nigeria is achievable, Greater Nigeria is a must. We must increase the standard of living, we must have stable electricity supply, we must capitalize on our agricultural growth potentials and we must ensure the highest quality primary, secondary and tertiary education for each and every citizen."

In April 2022, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, signed an executive order declaring a minimum 35% representation of women in Government and Politics across the state, following a national judgment. The executive order which applies to both elective and appointed positions, provides a clearer path for Olatorera Majekodunmi-Oniru's entry into senate in 2023. The young woman has the support of many especially Ogun Central residents, not too young to run groups and women leaders nationwide. The event was graced with the presence of Chief Mrs. Obasanjo, Senator Kola Bajomo, Chief Abiola Lawal, Hajia Tai Elemosho-Okesanjo, Mr. Kayode Ogunlesi, Mrs. Funmi Wakama, Mr. Shuaib Audu among other attendees.

Let's see her educational qualifications and work experience.

Idiots are not allowed to represent or lead Ogun state again. So, let's see her CV. She may just be a round peg in a round hole.

And the Presidency is the broke? Can Amosun even win the votes of Ogun State delegates alone, not to talk about other 36 states?

People like amosun will pick 2 forms, one for presidency and another for senate because presidency is far from his reach.
