Pregnancy can be an amazing time, but it also comes with its own unique set of issues and restrictions. Being pregnant can be an exciting time, but it’s also the perfect time to avoid certain activities that could put you or your unborn baby at risk. Pregnant women should avoid certain activities during this time to prevent any complications and ensure the health of both mother and child.

When you’re pregnant, your blood volume increases, which makes your heart work harder to pump it throughout your body. Too much exercise can make it tough for your heart to manage, which may cause blood pressure problems or even a stroke. For some women, overexertion can cause preterm labor—so no extreme workouts!
