Don't take Soludo's stick- and carrot crime control approach for granted, APGA warns

The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors' Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has warned hoodlums in the state not to take the stick-and-carrot approach in fighting crime by the state governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, for granted.

Obigwe said this in a statement on Friday in Awka, the Anambra State, in reaction to a reported disruption of a meeting between Soludo and tricycle operators at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Square, Awka, on Wednesday.

OBIGWE'S STATEMENT READS:

Governor Soludo has shown the whole ndi Anambra that his administration will not tolerate any form of criminality and he is using carrot and stick approach to curb criminality in our beloved State.

His peaceful disposition should not be taken for granted.

The above referred new report is an ugly incident that allegedly transpired in Awka during a meeting scheduled to hold between Governor Soludo and Keke riders.

The Keke riders wanted to thank Governor Soludo for ending toutism in Anambra.

As they gathered at Ekwueme Square, Cultists invaded the meeting venue and beat up one Osita.

According to the above referred news report he is recuperating in an undisclosed hospital.

An igbo adage says "that you should not touch the tail of a lion whether dead or alive".

Governor Soludo is that proverbial lion whose tail should not be touched whether dead or alive.

The best thing for criminals is for them to heed Governor Soludo advice by accepting his olive branch and surrender their weapons for peace to reign in our State.

Any Cultists that is joking with Governor Soludo directive should not complain when he starts dealing with them ruthlessly.

Keke nappep riders did marvellously well by coming out en mass to thank Governor Soludo for ending toutism in the State.

I condemn in strong terms the alleged attack of the Keke napep meeting venue by Cultists.

The perpetrators of such wicked act need to pay for their evil deeds.

Anambra under Governor Soludo watch is not a State the so called Cultists can play with.

Governor Soludo came prepared and he is determined to crush criminality in the State.

So any criminal that refuse to change from his evil ways will have him or herself to blame.

I encourage Keke napep riders to continue supporting the administration of Governor Soludo because he has good plans for ndi Anambra.
