Hmm. I looked through the pictures posted by Tpia and the canals all seemed to share one feature: cleanliness. Clear Water. No 'la casera' bottles. No 'pure' water satchets. No 'gala' wrappers. No 'recharge cards'. Nothing. Maybe a duck or two, paddling its way home, but that's about it. Are we saying we can't have something similar? Are we saying we can't get it right after so long? How hard can it be? |

^^there are dirty canals overseas too but i agree the standards for the lagos ones need to be somewhat stricter and people should stop throwing rubbish in them. hopefully we'll get there someday. |

That so many nigerians didn't die in this flood is because nigerians are born to overcome advercities,from birth nigerians learn to stay alive without precedents. Lagos could have easily be overran like japan without fortifications by the atlantic oceans.It could have happened anywhere with that kind of rain. |
