We're unprepared.

Compromise, self-sacrifice, and unconditional love aren't often on our list of things to be willing to do for others. We're impatient and demand immediate access to all of our wants and needs. We tend to set a 'time limit' on how we feel instead of allowing our feelings to flourish.

It's easy to conflate love and other emotions.


To meet someone who will accompany us to the movies or a nightclub rather than someone who can understand and support us in our darkest hour is something we often overlook. Having a boring life isn't what we're searching for, which is why we're looking for someone who can make our lives exciting. After a period of romantic and reciprocal devotion, we aren't always ready for change.

It's easy to become bogged down in the same old routine.
We run out of time and space for love after a while since we're preoccupied with the pursuit of monetary gain.

We're hoping for a quick response.
When we first fall in love, we have a preconceived notion of what a healthy, mature relationship looks like. Mutual understanding and maturity, however, can only be gained through time spent together. The majority of people today believe that there is nothing worthwhile in life, even love.
