RE- PDP Sues House of Rep Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, withdraws Provisional Clearance Certificate over Perjury.

The attention of the Honorable member Representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr. Vincent Ofumelu, has been drawn to an online publication as authored by one Paschal Nwankwo for anambrapeople .com .ng and now in circulation across social media platform.

In the said publication, the author made several allegations and claims against the PDP party and Hon. Barr. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, which are all unknown to the lawmaker and the party mentioned.

No court papers has been served to the lawmaker, directly or through his offices in Abuja, Nteje in Oyi or Omor in Ayamelum constituency offices, perhaps, the claims of court actions against Hon. Ofumelu for Defection from the PDP party remains a social media rant and an effort in futility as the lawmaker has cleared the air on his political association with the clearance of the PDP screening committee to run for a second term on the platform of the party.

The writer also claimed that the provisional certificate given to Hon. Ofumelu by the PDP screening committee has been withdrawn by the party for alleged perjury, this possibly happened in the imagination of the writer and their sponsors. Till this moment of writing a Disclaimer, the lawmaker Representing Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency and Deputy Chairman House Committee on Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Barr. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu has not been invited by any committee of the Party on the above claims nor was he informed through any proxy for alleged perjury.

All the allegations and claims of the writer are fallacious, untrue, imaginary, false, deceptive and fictitious, perhaps, the handiwork of fifth columnists and serial losers who rather than heal the pain of their assured loss in the forthcoming PDP primary election, but have instead opted to drag the reputation of the PDP to the mud and bottomless pit.

These characters are political contractors and surrogates of enemies of the PDP in Oyi/Ayamelum who wish for the party to fail in the next General Elections.

We urge the General public, teeming supporters of Barrister Vincent Ofumelu and committed members of the PDP especially the voting delegates for the forthcoming primaries to disregard the poorly scripted attempt to hoodwink them and defame the PDP party.

The party has not invalidated the provisional certificate offered to Vincent Ofumelu nor have instituted any case against his person and membership of the PDP.

On the claims of zoning as also attributed to the trash can article on the blog site with some tissue paper letters to the PDP Leadership. It’s Insulting that a supposed aspirant for National Assembly position, an aspiring lawmaker has not taken time to read through the Constitution of The Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended to learn that there’s No section where zoning was made a law in the country.

It further questions the capacity, intellectual capital, and sense of the Nigerian law of the plaintiff for insinuating that there’s a zoning agreement baring Hon. Ofumelu to seek for second term in office.

Where and how such zoning arrangement emanated is unknown to Stakeholders, elders and political sophisticated others in Oyi and Ayamelum Federal Constituency.

It’s on record that in 2019, the likes of Hon. Ekene Enefe (Ogbunike, Oyi), Ifeyinwa Morah (Ogbunike, Oyi) Dr. Obiorah Chira (Awkuzu, Oyi) Hon. Chinedu Eluemuno (Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi) all contested the House of Representatives election alongside Hon. Barr. Ofumelu as against the acclaimed zoning as highlighted by the pseudo plaintiff.

We will not allow fifth columnists and enemies of the PDP, those who have not labored for the party nor have any stake in the PDP family to use the instrumentality of the media to destroy the peace and unity in the PDP ahead of the forthcoming Primaries and General elections.

Kindly disregard all the claims, allegations and political gossips against Hon. Barr. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, they are untrue and only an imaginary event in the mind of a few sore losers.

Hon. Barr. Vincent Ekene Ofumelu is only concerned about the next Party primaries and General election and his quest to serve the people of Oyi and Ayamelum Federal Constituency at the National Assembly beyond 2023.
