Below are a few tips curated by our expert faculty at Hitbullseye that will surely help you better CUET preparation. Understand the CUET Exam Pattern: Exam pattern plays an important role in your preparation, as it makes you familiar with the actual exam paper. As per the CUET exam pattern released by NTA, there will be three sections – Languages, Domain-specific tests, and General tests. The first section is divided into sections – Section IA: 13 languages and Section IB: 20 languages. Plan aTime Table: Scheduling a timetable can lead to great results if all your planning is good. Preparing a study plan is challenging but not impossible. Must include 1-2 hours for CUET preparation and spend the rest of the time on boards. Once the exams are over, you can now plan to use the maximum of your time for CUET preparation. Practice Mock tests: Practising mocks is essential once you are done with your syllabus. Practising CUET mock tests and CUET previous year papers will help candidates analyse their mistakes, strengths, and weaknesses. How to prepare for CUET Language Test? In the CUET language test, questions will be based on comprehension passages –Factual, Literary and Narrative (Literary aptitude and vocabulary). Candidates can expect about 6-8 reading comprehension passages with a 400-450 words standard limit. Thus, it is advisable that candidates must start reading editorials and newspapers to master the Section. How to prepare for the CUET Domain-specific Test? The Section will contain 27 subjects, out of which candidates will have to choose upto six domains they want to pursue at UG. The questions in this Section will be based on the Class 12 level. Thus, you can score higher marks in these sections as you have already practised the subjects and are clear with the concepts. How to prepare for CUET General Test? • CUET General test will include questions based on these subjects – General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, and Quantitative Reasoning. • Plan your preparation by distributing the subjects and giving each subject equal time. • Try to take up subjects you are thorough with first and focus on the tough ones daily. • Try mixing the topics, which will make it easier and more interesting for you to focus on your preparation. • Make notes of important topics, formulas and terms for faster revision. • Once you complete any topic, start solving mocks and sample questions for an idea of the actual exam.
