Cristiano Ronaldo to break No7 shirt curse and become first Man Utd player in a DECADE to score 20 Premier League goals.

The phenomenal CRISTIANO RONALDO is poised to become the first Manchester United player to score 20 Premier League goals since the 2012-13 season.

And in doing so the 37-year-old superstar will once and for all break the No7 shirt curse at Old Trafford that has haunted numerous players.

Michael Owen was plagued by injuries after he inherited the famous shirt following Ronaldo's switch to Real Madrid in 2009.

He then allowed Ronaldo to take up his iconic No7 duty after he arrived from Juventus last year, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner proving his class time and again.

Ronaldo has banged in 18 top-flight goals from 29 outings heading into the away clash against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

The Euro 2016 winner, who is third in Premier League top scorer rankings, has 24 goals to his name in all competitions.

No other player in the last ten seasons has scored more goals for United than Ronaldo in a single Premier League campaign other than Robin van Persie.

In his first season at United after joining from Arsenal in 2012, the Dutchman banged in 26 goals from 38 games to help the club win the title.

With seven goals in his last four games, Ronaldo will be confident he can score twice in his last two matches.
